CINCINNATI, OHIO: Darren Watkins Jr, better known as IShowSpeed, has a reputation for trying contentious pranks on his streams and YouTube videos. Recently, the streamer pulled a fake pregnancy prank on his father and it naturally turned out to be quite weird.
It's interesting to note that Speed considers his father as his best friend and frequently includes him in his live streams. Their relationship did, however, experience a rough patch following the IShowMeat incident since Speed's father ended up making a reference to the contentious issue in a video.
Speed recently hit 20 million subscribers on YouTube and touched another massive milestone when he received the Variety Streamer of the Year Award at Streamy’s 2023.
What was IShowSpeed's prank on his father?
During a recent YouTube livestream, Speed decided to pull a fake pregnancy prank on his father. Speed called his father and immediately became somber, saying he was unsure what to do.
Without wasting any time, Speed dived right into the prank and said, “I just got this message from this girl and she said that she is pregnant, and I don’t know what to do.”
He also added that the girl was from London, but his father abruptly asked, “You got a girl living in London pregnant? How did you do that man?”
After the streamer claimed he was wearing a condom and that he believed the girl was lying, Speed's father had a lot to say.
Speed's father advised him not to contact his mother, as they would resolve this issue together. However, things took a strange turn when his father mentioned that they had super-sperms that could pass through condoms.
His dad also gave information about Speed’s uncle, who used to wear two condoms. The weirdness eventually prompted Speed to hang up the call.
“This is why I cannot prank my dad, what the f**k was he talking about, Super-Sp*rm, is that even a thing,” he said.
Speed loves to play pranks
This is not the first time the Cristiano Ronaldo superfan has played a prank during his stream. He has pranked a lot of people and landed in trouble for it.
In a recent stream, Speed called 911 because it appeared like his throat hurt. But in the middle of the conversation, he changed the emergency call to a prank call, and after yelling at the nurse, he even provided her with false information.
Speed was warned in the chat that making hoax calls like that could get him in trouble and land him in jail. As a horrified Speed gather more info about this, he discovered that prank calls occasionally carried a sentence of up to 11 years in prison.
The streamer immediately reserved a flight to Saudi Arabia out of fear of the repercussions and declared that he would surely leave the country since he could not imagine doing 11 years in prison.
