CINCINNATI, OHIO: A new video of Taylor Swift is doing the rounds on the internet in which the 'Look What You Made Me Do' singer was forced to run off stage after a mishap during her Cincinnati Eras Tour set on Friday, June 30. Her act gave the impression that the singing prodigy was demonstrating her sprinting prowess at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The pop star was waiting for a hidden platform on the floor to open and drop her to the backstage area after completing a song on the prolonged portion of the stage. Swift acted swiftly and made the decision to sprint to the back of her main stage when the panel failed to activate as quickly as expected. The incident was caught on tape by some fans, and it has since gone viral on the internet.
The backup dancers were already leaving as the 33-year-old started to sprint quickly in an effort to arrive in time for her imminent change of clothes. Swift waited for the floor panel to activate for roughly five seconds while wearing a one-legged, black-patterned bodysuit, high boots, and fishnet stockings. She then sprinted to the back section along the longer portion of the stage, behind the performers. The panel began to open shortly after the 'All Too Well' actress made a dash for it, so she ultimately had nothing to worry about.
'Never saw her run this fast'
Even viewers noted that the door had resumed functioning in the TikTok video's comments. "Run (Taylor's version)," one fan wrote, while another quipped that they "love" the "errors tour." Twitter has been filled with memes with one fan tweeting, "Me when they say there's pizza in the breakroom." Another wrote, "Me in target once they have the vinyl in store." A third quipped, "Because she has a show to run." Others praised her for her dedication to her art. A fan tweeted, "Her commitment to professionalism!!!!" Another noted, "Never saw her run this fast."
'Still swift af boi'
The TikTok's comment section, which as of Sunday had roughly 230,000 views, was flooded with appreciation for Swift's quick response to the unexpected scenario. "This woman just slays on every level," one user noted. "I would've fallen so hard on my face if I tried to run in those heels," another added. In addition, Swift herself made a joke about the incident on TikTok, writing, "still Swift af boi."
Swift's past drama
The Grammy winner has experienced a number of mistakes, accidents, and even some dram over the years. During a May concert in Philadelphia, Swift helped a woman who was being harassed by a security officer. The artist, who was singing 'Bad Blood', was heard telling the security guard to "stop" bothering the concertgoer as she was performing. The young woman revealed on TikTok the next day that the pop star's crew had given her tickets to the upcoming performance as compensation for her plight. Swift has continued the act despite the setbacks, performing in a downpour and while nursing an open wound on her palm, as per Page Six. The singer of 'Blank Space' even handled it well when an insect flew into her mouth last month while performing in front of nearly 60,000 fans in Chicago.
