LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ star Robin Roberts may have returned to the desk recently but she looks far from her chirpy self. The 62-year-old anchor had missed the broadcast of the morning show for over two weeks, making fans question her abrupt absence. And now, before kicking off the show, Robin cryptically spoke about mounting pressure in her daily morning message and prayer which she later post on her social media.
This speech on tackling pressure might just be a small hint of what Roberts had endured in the past few weeks. She chose the subject of pressure and adversity to instill confidence in her followers and even featured a part of a sermon from pastor Joel Olsteen.
Is Robin Roberts ok?
In her recent Instagram post, Roberts spoke about the various pressure and challenges that everyone faces today. She began, “When the almighty designed you, he knew what pressures you would face. Financial pressure, relationship pressure, pressure raising children, dealing with illness pressure.” But there was a catch. When Roberts spoke about illness pressure, she seemingly tapped her chest, as if suggesting that she was under stress and is silently dealing with it.
However, she continued, “If that pressure was going to crush you, God would not have put you there. Whatever you face you have to remind yourself you can handle it. You are well able to overcome opposition, to outlast adversity. But 'Can do' power doesn't do any good if you have a 'Can't do' mentality. So quit looking at all the things you can't do. Have a new perspective. This obstacle may be big, but I can overcome it. This trouble is taking longer than I thought, but I can outlast it. This situation feels overwhelming, but I can handle it. I've been designed for it. I'm strong, I'm anointed, I'm equipped.”
Is Robin Roberts tired of working?
Fans are concerned for Roberts. Her recent disappearances from the morning show has raised a lot of question and given her message on pressure and adversity, it’s only becoming tough for anyone to guess as to what’s troubling Roberts. The 62-year-old anchor recently had to muster up the courage to come to work after suggesting that she was suffering from “travel fatigue” and “fighting allergies.”
She missed work last week while covering an event and her recent stint in Berlin to cover the Special Olympics has also rained hard on her health. Fans have been praying for Roberts to tone her work down to focus on health but the 'GMA' star looks primed to continue despite sharing messages of fighting pressure and adversity.
