LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a series of Instagram stories, Sarah Brady, the ex-girlfriend of actor Jonah Hill, has spoken up about her time with the well-known actor, writer, and producer. She alleges he is narcissistic. Brady shared screenshots of an alleged chat the two had and several more conversations, even though she initially refrained from saying that she was specifically talking to Hill.
Brady and Hill, who were linked in 2021, kept their relationship off of social media except for the rare photo together. After they split in 2022, she remained silent, and Hill was then linked with Olivia Millar. Since then, the new couple has had a kid in June, and since The Daily Mail published paparazzi photographs that seemed to reveal a ring on her finger, engagement speculations have been swirling.
'I am engaged. But not to my girlfriend...'
In February 2022, Hill made an Instagram post in order to deny reports that he and Brady were engaged. The actor wrote at the time, "The rumors are not true. I am engaged. But not to my girlfriend, I am engaged to your mom. I know this is shocking but please respect our privacy at this time." He also added, "Media stop writing fake stuff, it's corny." The post has since been deleted.
Sarah Brady started recently posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram with the comment, "Reviving a pic I took down by request of a misogynist narcissist." A little over a year after she split from the actor, Brady appeared to be talking about her time with Hill.
Brady posted videos and text conversations of individuals talking about their contacts with narcissists over the course of multiple Instagram stories, and she also emphasized the "residual trauma" she is presently dealing with. Additionally, she posted screenshots of interactions she had with others who responded to her experiences. In one conversation, she admitted, "I've kept so much to myself about my last relationship. Because he made me feel like I had to hide the intimate details of our relationship, sometimes he would get upset at me, venting to Family."
'It's common for the partner of a narcissistic person to believe they're the narcissist'
Brady said in a different screenshot that ran a web search to look up symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder because she believed herself to be one. She wrote, "Like it's common for the partner of a narcissistic person to believe they're the narcissist," as reported by Complex. While she did not explicitly mention Hill, one of her statements was about how she helped the person emotionally and "held his hand for six months after the break up" and then stated she did so "up until he got his new chick pregnant," likely referring to Millar.
Hill allegedly told Brady that she was exploiting him for his power and money and that she was not allowed to upload pictures of herself surfing in bikinis to Instagram. Hill attributed her actions to a "f**ked up internal desire for male validation."
Internet shows support for Jonah Hill
Since Sarah slammed Jonah, the internet has graciously supported him. Users took to Twitter to express their support. As one of the users wrote, "There is literally nothing wrong with Jonah Hill's leaked text messages regarding what he wants in a partner. But there is plenty wrong with women in society today. Basic respect for your partner is now being labeled as "misogynistic" by insecure women."
Another user wrote, "She's taking absolutely no responsibility herself. She should have walked away if she felt his boundaries went against what was important to her. The fact that she didn't means that she valued something in him enough to ignore her own values and beliefs. She's blaming him." A user also wrote, "Exactly. That wasn't emotional abuse at all. That's basic communication. These women have no idea what abuse is."
