Brendan O'Brien, who provided a number of the original voices on the Crash Bandicoot games, has died at the age of 60. O’Brien was a voice actor who worked on the classic franchise in the 1990s. He was responsible for voicing the characters of Crash Bandicoot, N.Gin, Dr Neo Cortex, Dr Nitrus Brio, and Tiny Tiger. He was involved in all three of the first three games before Scott Whyte took over as the voice of Crash from the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. The post reads: "Sharing our sincere condolences to Brendan O’Brien’s loved ones for his passing," their tweet read. "He was an incredible talent who brought Crash Bandicoot and other Crash characters to life. He will forever live on in the hearts of Crash fans." A tribute to O’Brien’s time working on the gaming franchise reads: “One of his proudest moments was coming up with the original voices for the Crash Bandicoot video games during the Naughty Dog years of 1996 to 2004. "He encouraged nostalgic Crash fans in their own pursuits and loved signing their memorabilia. Like music, designing character voices for animation, radio and video games came naturally to him.” The first Crash Bandicoot game was released in 1996 and would go on to be remembered as one of the quintessential games of the time. Former ITV presenter Eamonn Holmes has sparked a big reaction following his damning interview with GB News about Phillip Schofield. Holmes and Schofield were former colleagues on ITV’s morning TV show This Morning before Holmes left the show in December 2021. In a tell-all interview, after it emerged publicly that Schofield was having an affair with a male staff member many years his junior and resigned from ITV, Holmes accused the TV network of a “cover-up” and said Schofield created a “toxic” atmosphere. In an interview with Dan Wootton on GB News, Holmes claimed that the younger male colleague would be “delivered from Philip’s London home” to the ITV studio in a car after having stayed at his London home “in cars paid for by ITV”. Holmes also claimed that the affair was “known by virtually every staff member both on and off screen” and that ITV covered it up until Schofield made the admission himself in a statement. Jennifer Aniston, 54, has opened up about one unique beauty treatment – and it involves salmon sperm. In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, the actress said her aesthetician suggested trying the facial despite not knowing what it entailed. "First of all, I said, 'Are you serious? How do you get salmon's sperm?'" She told the outlet while admitting she didn't really find it effective. The beauty treatment contains the ingredient that has proven popular in the K beauty world and has since made its way into the States. It's commonly injected in Korea but is currently only approved for topical use in other parts of the world. Salmon sperm, or more specifically the nucleotide within it, is said to revive dead skin cells and aid cell turnover. Instead, Aniston opts for weekly peptide injections to combat the effects of ageing. "I do think that’s the future," she said. Aniston has previously opened up about how she feels when people say she "looks good for her age". "It drives me bananas. I can't stand it," she told British Vogue earlier this year. "That's a habit of society that we have these markers like, 'Well, you're at that stage, so for your age.' I don't even understand what it means." She went on to suggest she feels "100 per cent better" now than she did when she was in her 20s. "I’m in better shape than I was in my 20s; I feel better in mind, body, and spirit. The latest Exorcist film, Exorcist: Believer, has been savaged by Mark Kermode, who tore apart David Gordon-Green's film. Movie buffs probably should have known what was coming when Kermode of Kermode and Mayo's Take posted a selfie earlier this week with his head in his hands. When it came to offer up his thoughts on Believer, Kermode didn't require much push from co-host Simon Mayo. "You have eight minutes to talk about The Exorcist: Believer," offered Mayo, before Kermode immediately delivered. "The Exorcist: Believer would like us to see it as a 'requel' to The Exorcist from the makers of the [new] Halloween series (David Gordon-Green). It is better seen as a 'requel' by the makers of Pineapple Express and Your Highness, but it is less funny and indeed less scary than either of those films. It is not good," he said. Ouch. After explaining the plot points and kitschy throwbacks of the new film, Kermode then explains the madcap final act. "Everything then goes completely formulaic, heads get turned, vomit gets spewed, bodies get levitated - we move towards an Avengers finale in which everyone decides to have a go [at exorcism]. "Despite the absolute stupidity of it all, it is staggeringly dull. Roger Ebert reviewing Beyond The Door said 'it's all trash, but it's scary trash', this is just trash. It is not scary at all. There's a Turkish 'Exorcist' called 'Şeytan' which fundamentally understands The Exorcist better than this." "It is apparently the beginning of a trilogy, after which we have Exorcist: Deciever, presumably followed by "Exorcist: Asleeper". It is a movie made by people who have seen the original, but have not seen the original. "It is dumb, dumb, boring. Bad as it could've been, and then some." Kermode's scathing review should come as no surprise - the Exorcist is his favourite film. "It works for me, and it works every time. Every time I see it, it looks a different film.
