Andrew Tate welcomes Nigel Farage to the 'club' after being 'forced out of the UK'
Andrew Tate has welcomed former UKIP and Brexit Party politician Nigel Farage to 'the club' after the GB News host claimed that he was being forced out of the UK by banks. Farage shared a six-minute monologue on Thursday claiming that he is facing "serious political persecution" after his unnamed bank closed his accounts two months ago for an apparant "commercial decision." The 59-year-old added that similar things had happened to his family and his political colleagues and he was now contemplating leaving the country and is planning his "next steps." Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter He added: "I won’t really be able to exist or function in a modern 21st century Britain,” Farage said. “‘I’m beginning to think that perhaps life in the United Kingdom is now becoming completely unliveable because of the levels of prejudice against me.” In response, Tate, the outspoken British-American influencer currently facing charges of rape and human trafficking in Romania said: "Welcome to the club." Tate was arrested in late December 2022 and has been under house arrest with his brother Tristan and two other associates ever since. Earlier this month, Tate and the three other men were officially charged by the Romanian authorities for the aforementioned offenses as well as organised crime for the specific exploitation of women. Tate has strongly denied all the charges against him. Have your say in our news democracy. Click the upvote icon at the top of the page to help raise this article through the indy100 rankings.

Madame Web line about 'researching spiders in the Amazon' has already become a meme
It’s not even been released yet, but the fallout from the Madame Web trailer just goes to show that nothing is ever safe from internet meme culture. The clip from the upcoming Sony superhero movie gives fans a flavour of Dakota Johnson’s debut as she plays character Cassandra Webb for the first time. There’s a lot to take in, with a host of new stars and exciting stunts showcased in the clip, but one particular line of dialogue has made the biggest impression so far. And what’s the line? Well, it’s a line about a mysterious male character familiar to Johnson’s character. “He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she died.” Admittedly, it’s delivered in a slightly stunted way, and fans have really cottoned onto it in the hours since the trailer was released. Pretty soon, the internet was having a field day with the whole thing. Fans will have to wait until the film is released on February 16 until they can find any more meme-worthy lines of dialogue. The new Superman and Lois Lane actors were accurately predicted 3 years ago
David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan have been cast as Superman and Lois Lane respectively, in the new Superman: Legacy beating six other actors to the iconic roles. The duo will play the DC Comic characters in James Gunn's new film taking over the mantle last played on screen by Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. On Twitter Gunn wrote: "They are not only both incredible actors, but also wonderful people." The role of Superman and Clark Kent will by Corenswet's first major lead part in a movie having previously appeared in Pearl and the HBO series We Own This City. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Meanwhile, Brosnahan has previously been seen in House of Cards and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. Despite the pair being relatively unknown to wider audiences their casting was amazingly predicted way back in December 2020 by one keen comic book fan. On December 1 2020, Kunal B wrote: "A #Superman reboot starring David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Let it be linked to Matt Reeves Batman franchise (not directly, just in the same universe)." The tweet has resurfaced following the news about Corenswet and Brosnahan and needless to say, people are impressed. "F**king impressive," one person wrote in response. Another added: "Bro seeing into the future." A third person asked him to: "now do James Bond." A fourth said: "You’re definitely a time traveler." No release date has been set for Superman: Legacy but it is scheduled to hit cinemas in the summer of 2025. Have your say in our news democracy.
