Love him, or hate him, Elon Musk seems to know a thing or two about gaming (or gaming badly, according to critics). Even if you disagree with his gaming credentials, he seems to have a genuine love for video games. Musk once claimed he was one of the best at the original Quake, that gaming helps calm him. "Killing the demons in a video game calms the demons in my mind," said the tech CEO to podcast host Lex Fridman when speaking about Diablo IV where he 'cruised through Tier 100 Nightmare Dungeons like a stroll in the park.' True to that, it's said he defeated the stress from his controversial Twitter purchase (later renamed to X) by zoning out on Elden Ring, which he compared to an artwork on X: Elon Musk, most recently has spoken about Diablo IV, and Elden Ring a lot, but what is his top recommendation? The game above all games that Musk would recommend to anyone asking? Elon Musk's biggest gaming recommendation Interestingly enough, Musk was once asked this question, so his answer is the one we have to go on. Sadly, Overwatch no longer exists, and the online universe of the game was replaced and updated by Overwatch 2 - which hasn't been as well received as the legendary original. Musk's only thought on Overwatch 2 is that he'll 'maybe' return to playing it, which is a long way away from the praise he heaped on the original game. As mentioned, he enjoyed his time with Diablo IV and Elden Ring immensely, so you can add those two to the list that starts with Overwatch. With Overwatch no longer available in the form Musk recommended, we've got another big shout from the X CEO: Polytopia. Described as 'a turn based civilization strategy game about controlling the map, fighting enemy tribes, discovering new lands and mastering new technologies,' Polytopia is a game that is thought highly of by Musk, and he says it has influenced his strategy when it comes to business. In fact, Musk became quite obsessed with the game. He said it'd teach people, like his brother Kimbal, how to be CEO's themselves - but Musk said had to get rid of it as it was taking up too many 'brain cycles'. It even led to a fight with another ex of his, Grimes, who deeply upset Musk during a Polytopia session when she launched an attack on him despite having agreed to work together. She said it was "it was one of our biggest fights ever," that led to Musk giving Grimes the cold shoulder for an entire day. As for other games, Musk mentioned his fondness for spacecraft launch sim Kerbal Space Program in an old Reddit AMA. The Randian philosophy of Bioshock's Andrew Ryan is thought to be a big influence of Musk, who lists the game series among his favourites, also naming Fallout, Warcraft, Civilization and Mass Effect. What happens when you put two of the world’s most outspoken commentators together? Two-and-a-half hours of self-congratulation, tedious repetition and outright lies, it transpires. Tucker Carlson jetted off to Romania to join Andrew Tate for a sit-down chat at his home on the outskirts of Bucharest, where the influencer remains under house arrest. Last month, the 36-year-old king of toxic masculinity was charged with rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women. However, he offered Carlson and his loyal ‘Tucker on Twitter’ viewers a very different version of the allegations against him. Tate responded by saying he’d been charged with “convincing” women to get TikTok. “I'm charged with being the head of an organised criminal group, which is in charge of recruiting girls to make TikTok videos, to steal the money from the TikTok views,” he told his sympathetic interviewer. He then elaborated: “The overall charge is that there's an organised criminal group [...], I'm the head of it. My brother is below me, and we use the loverboy method to convince women to do TikTok videos to make money so that we can steal the TikTok money.” What he means by the so-called “loverboy method” is when a man seduces young, vulnerable girls and boys over a period of time in order to sexually exploit them later on. "So, just to be clear, you are not accused of pandering, of pimping, of forcing women to have sex with anybody?" Carlson then asked. "No,” Tate replied. “Not forcing them to have sex, not for restraining their movement, not stopping them from living a full life, but the fact that we are somehow convincing them to have TikTok." We’d like to take this opportunity to “be clear” ourselves. Tate and his brother Tristan, 34, are charged with some of the most serious crimes imaginable. Last month, Tate was served with legal papers by lawyers representing four of his alleged victims who have accused him of rape and sexual assault. The four women, in their late 20s and early 30s, are pursuing civil proceedings against the former kickboxer over alleged offences occurring between 2013 and 2016 while he was still living in the UK, The Guardian reports. The legal letter sets out the four women’s accusations against him, including violent rapes, serious physical assaults, and controlling and coercive behaviour. One of the women claimed that after meeting Tate in 2014, he brutally assaulted her. She said: “While having sex, he began to choke me and choked me so hard that I lost consciousness. I thought I was going to die. When I woke up, he was continuing to rape me. It is difficult to say that because it is so upsetting, but that is what it was.” Meanwhile in Romania, prosecutors also confirmed last month that seven women had come forward with allegations against the Tate brothers, including some who say they were “misled” by “false claims of marriage and love”. The pair are accused of forming an organised crime group in early 2021 to commit human trafficking in Romania, the UK, the US and other countries. The alleged victims were later taken to buildings in Romania’s Ilfov county where they were intimidated, placed under constant surveillance and control and forced into debt, a statement from the prosecutors said. The two men then allegedly forced the women to engage in pornography which was later shared on social media. One of the alleged victims says she was raped twice in March 2022, according to the statement. Both Tate and Tristan vehemently deny the accusations against them and, in his interview with Carlson, the former went so far as to say they’d been fabricated by the media. He told the right-wing host: “The girls have come forward and said, ‘This is insane, you've just picked us because we're near Andrew and we're his friends’.” He continued: “But they (meaning the powers that be) are like, ‘Nope, you’re a victim, no matter what you say. We’re deciding you’re a victim.” He went on to accuse the “media machine” of offering thousands of pounds in bribes to anyone willing to badmouth the Tates. “The media machine, which works hands in hands with the justice machine [...] offered bribes effectively,” he told Carlson. “They'd call up and say, if you have anything bad to say about Andrew, we can pay you $50,000 for the story.” Suffice it to say, lawyers for four of the victims would categorically rubbish his outlandish claims. After serving the 36-year-old with the legal papers, one of the representatives for the women said: “Despite Tate’s outrageous claims that these women aren’t even real, on reading the papers, he should now recall how real they are. “Talk of the ‘Matrix’ and ‘false flags’ hold no weight in court. Sir Paul McCartney said artificial intelligence has been used to create “the last Beatles record”, which is set to be released later this year. The 80-year-old former Beatle said technology was used to extract late bandmate John Lennon’s voice from an old demo and “get it pure” for what he said will be the final song from the Liverpool band. He told Martha Kearney on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that AI is an “interesting thing” and “something that we’re all sort of tackling at the moment” and trying to deal with. “When Peter Jackson did the film (The Beatles) Get Back, where it was us making the Let It Be album, he was able to extricate John’s voice from a ropey little bit of cassette and a piano. He could separate them with AI, he’d tell the machine ‘That’s a voice, this is a guitar, lose the guitar’. “So when we came to make what will be the last Beatles record, it was a demo that John had that we worked on and we just finished it up. It will be released this year. “We were able to take John’s voice and get it pure through this AI so then we could mix the record as you would do. It gives you some sort of leeway.” Sir Paul said there is a “good side” to AI but also a “scary side”. “We will just have to see where that leads,” he said. The singer-songwriter also spoke about his forthcoming exhibition to mark the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery, titled Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes Of The Storm, which incorporates unseen photographs taken by Sir Paul during the early days of The Beatles. The archive features more than 250 images taken between November 1963 and February 1964, which capture the emergence of Beatlemania through the personal lens of Sir Paul’s Pentax camera. The exhibition will run from June 28 to October 1 at the gallery, which has undergone three years of major refurbishment. It features portraits of Sir Ringo Starr as well as late bandmates George Harrison and Lennon, and manager Brian Epstein. Sir Paul said: “It is very poignant, it’s great because, whenever you lose someone, I think your natural thing is ‘Well, we’ve got beautiful memories’, and you hold fast those memories of the good times. “I don’t tend to dwell on the fact that you’ve lost someone.
