It wasn't until she moved to America that she was offered the role of Naomi Lapaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street at the age of 23. The actress told CBS: "Everything I owed my mum, I had it written down. She’d take money out of the, like, house mortgage [to] lend me money. So I always knew, I was like, 'I gotta pay that back.'" "And then one day, when I made enough money, I just paid that whole mortgage off completely." She told her mother not to worry about the mortgage as it no longer existed.
