Mia Khalifa has doubled down on her TikTok comments after offering relationship advice to younger women while mentioning Tom Brady. In the initial clip, Khalifa candidly opened up about her relationship history, having been married twice and engaged three times. "Married at 18, divorced at 21. Second marriage: married at 25, divorced at 28. Third engagement: engaged at 29, ended it at 30, but I kept the ring and still keep Tom Brady on his toes," she joked. The former adult star said women "shouldn't be afraid to leave these men," adding: "We are not stuck with these people." "Marriage is not a prudish thing, it's paperwork. It's a commitment you make to someone, but if you feel like you're not getting anything out of that commitment and you're trying, you have to leave. You have to go," she continued. "I know it's hard to fill out paperwork and schedule appointments and do all this stuff. "But this is your f***ing life, do you want to be stuck with someone? Period." Now, Khalifa has followed up with a second clip, in which she addressed the backlash. "I’m failing to see what’s wrong in telling young women - who get married young - that if they are in relationships that are unhealthy and toxic, and make them unhappy, that just because they made a ‘commitment,’ they are not stuck in these relationships," she said. @miakhalifa #stitch with @Mia K. Period. She went on to suggest those making such comments tend to be men who dislike their partner being confident. "[The ones] who are afraid of their women having self realisations, and exercising free will, and leaving them," she continued. "Because the only thing holding their relationships together is probably the fact that they made ‘a commitment,’ and their religion and families. Musician Jack Antonoff is facing backlash after fans called him "rude" towards comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg during an interview at the 2023 GQ Man of the Year Awards. Dimoldenberg, best known for her interview series Chicken Shop Date's and her awkward interview style, was chatting to Antonoff - best known for his collaborations with artists such as Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey - on the red carpet, saying it was "nice to meet him", whilst Antonoff appeared to ignore her and look at the crowd. Things only got worse when Dimoldenberg asked the songwriter if his glasses were "real." "Of course they are real," he replied. "That's extremely f**king offensive." Spotify has increased the subscription prices of its premium plan in many parts of the world, with an individual plan going up by £1 in the UK. The price rise comes following Spotify chief Daniel Ek suggesting during an April earnings call that there could be an increase in subscription fee soon. The changes also come as other streaming platforms, including Netflix and Apple Music raised their subscription prices recently. “The market landscape has continued to evolve since we launched. So that we can keep innovating, we are changing our Premium prices across a number of markets around the world,” the audio steaming giant noted in a blog post on Monday. “These updates will help us continue to deliver value to fans and artists on our platform,” it said. In the US, the company said the premium plan for individuals would now cost $10.99 (£8.55) a month up from the charge of $9.99 (£7.77) it has levied since the platform’s launch in 2011. Along with the price rise for a single individual premium subscription plan, the cost of Duo is increasing from $12.99 (£10.11) to $14.99 (£11.6), and for the Family plan from $15.99 (£12.44) to $16.99 (£13.22), and the one for students from $4.99 (£3.88) to $5.99 (£4.66). “We will raise it and that price increase will go down well because we’re delivering a lot of value for our customers,” Mr Ek said, noting that the changes would happen “when the timing is right.” Spotify said users would be given a “one-month grace period” before the new prices take effect.
