GMB guests left up in arms over whether Robert De Niro is too old to be a dad at 79
With news that Robert De Niro has become a father for the seventh time aged 79, there's been a huge debate on GMB this morning (10 May) over whether he's too old. "It's irresponsible and selfish to the child", Tru Powell argued, saying he could be dead by the time the child reaches 'major milestones'. However, mum blogger, Lucy Baker, wasn't having the remark, and quipped back: "I don't know if the marker of being a good dad is whether you can run a sports day race." Jill Scott reveals new tattoo in honour of her sweary Euro 2022 rant
Jill Scott became a national treasure after cameras caught her expletive rant at a German player during the Euro 2022 final - and now she's immortalised the iconic moment with a tattoo. The 36-year-old came on as a late substitute during the tense game where she clashed with Germany and Bayern Munich's Sydney Lohmann. Clearly, Scott wasn't too happy about the challenge and made her feelings known - despite not being able to hear her, it didn't take a lip reader to understand what she was saying. It appeared to be something along the lines of "F*** off, you f***ing p****." @jillscottjs8 TikTok · Jill Scott In fact, it was so clear to understand what Scott was saying that BBC commentators had to apologise, and the clip quickly went viral on social media. Now as part of a TikTok trend where people show off their "silly" tattoos, Scott shared hers in which she got the initials "F O Y F P," which stand for "F*** off, you f***ing p****." "This moment will haunt me for the rest of my life, sorry again I got caught in the moment," Scott wrote in the post caption. The post has since received 1.5m views and people have shared their love for Scott's new tattoo and for her legendary quote. One person said: "I’ve got a FOYFP sticker on my water bottle and i love getting to tell people about you when they ask about it !!" "You need a damehood for FOYFP alone. We need to start the campaign now," another person wrote. A third person added: "This was more culturally significant than the win." "Hahaha yes Jill, a memory I’ll never forget x" a fourth person commented. Someone else replied: "Best tattoo I’ve ever seen!" ‘Heart breakerr’: Australian media reacts to Matildas’ defeat to England
Australia missed out on a first appearance in a Women’s World Cup final after a 3-1 defeat to England in Sydney. The Matildas fell behind in the first half at Stadium Australia before Sam Kerr levelled with a spectacular finish from distance. But goals from Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo secured victory for the Lionesses late on to take Sarina Wiegman’s side through to a second consecutive major tournament final. Australia had flourished on home soil during the World Cup, even in the injury-enforced absence of star Kerr for much of the campaign, to progress to the last four for the first time. A last-four defeat nonetheless left the nation wondering what might have been, with Tony Gustavsson’s side now heading to Brisbane for the third place play-off against Sweden on Saturday. Domestic media reports took in the defeat and the emotion of the occasion afterwards with a string of headlines and front pages reflecting on their semi-final appearance. The front page of The Australian reflected both the disappointment and how support has swelled behind the Matildas during the tournament, saying: “Dream Kerr-tailed but national love affair’s just begun”. Sydney’sDaily Telegraph similarly played with the star forward’s name, describing the result as a “Heart breakerr”. “Pride and pain,” read the front of Melbourne daily The Age, whileThe Sydney Morning Herald also reflected a similar theme, describing the Matildas as “queens of hearts” over an image showing the Australia squad gathered together in a heart shape after their defeat. In Perth, meanwhile, The West Australian went with “It hurts …but we’re so proud” on the front of Thursday’s edition. Australian television coverage of the semi-final was watched by more than 11 million people on Channel 7 in the country. The broadcast was the most watched TV event in the nation’s history. Post Malone and Joe Rogan call the NPC TikTok trend 'crazy' and 'strange'
Post Malone and Joe Rogan discussed the rise of the NPC streams on TikTok, calling the trend "crazy" and "so strange." During an appearance on the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Post Malone brought up the topic of the NPC trend after Rogan commented on the fact that people “watch a lot of s*** they hate". The NPC trend is where the streamers appear animated through their actions, hence being comparable to gaming NPCs, where they often repeat their movements or sayings. One of the most popular NPC streamers is Pinkydoll, who is known for her catchphrase "Ice cream, so good!" when gifted an ice cream emoji in her streams. @kiki_saysso New trend? Should I try it? credit: @pinkydollreal #pinkydoll #ai #npctrend #viral #tiktoksensation #livestream The Sunflower singer quoted this Pinkydoll's catchphrase to Rogan when explaining the trend. "I'm like wow, this is kind of crazy," Post said. To which Rogan asked if Pinkydoll ever breaks character as Post recalled a time he watched one of her streams where she did. The pair then watched one of the TikToker's most viral videos and in response, Rogan described it as "so strange". "But she is really hot and that helps," the podcaster added. "That’s why that works. Let’s not pretend. Like if she was gross, like that lady is beautiful. "So, when she does that, people are like. What is she? I’ll get her to lick her lips like, $7000 a day. That’s not bad.” Elsewhere, Rogan was recently 'perplexed' at men's 'appalling' backlash to Barbie movie. Have your say in our news democracy.
