NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Gadsden flag made headlines after a 12-year-old boy at a Colorado Springs school was asked to remove a patch from his backpack that featured the flag, Newsweek reported.
After the event sparked nationwide controversy, Fox News host Tomi Lahren amplified her controversial point of view by comparing the Gadsden flag to gay sex in a tweet.
After this tweet, Lahren received fierce backlash on the internet as people raged against the comparison. The Fox News host was also called “homophobic” for her tweet.

Fox News anchor Tomi Lahren shared a video and tweet by @Libsoftiktok which read, “GRAPHIC: A citizen read from a pornographic book available to students in @IRCSchools and was SHUT DOWN by the board then REMOVED by security. Too graphic for the board to hear but perfectly ok for middle schoolers! Make it make sense.”
In response to this, Lahren wrote, “Gay sex is fine but not the Gadsden Flag!!!!! The HORROR!!!!”

Lahren was also labeled a “fake blonde” in a tweet, “Tami, you didn't even know what a Gadsen flag is until this story. More fake outrage from a fake blonde."
