LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Madison Beer, the 23-year-old singer, has big dreams for her future beyond music. While she’s preparing to release her second album in September 2023, she shared with The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column that acting is also on her radar.
Beer, the talented musician who graced our playlists with her melodious voice and meaningful lyrics, dropped a bombshell announcement on her Instagram page on June 1st. She confirmed that she is all set to release her much-awaited sophomore album, 'Silence Between Songs', on September 15th. The post featured a stunning photo of the singer in a breathtaking white dress, leaning against a teal-colored wall, and gazing off-camera. The excitement and eagerness are palpable in Beer's words as she shared her plans with her fans.
‘I would love acting’
Beer clarified during her interview, “I’m working on so many things right now but music is obviously the driving force of everything. I would love acting. I’ve definitely been trying to work on it and be more open to it." Beer has been taking acting lessons over the years and feels ready to take on more serious roles, even expressing an interest in a biopic.
"I’ve done a lot of acting lessons over the years. I would love to play a more serious role. I would love to be in a biopic of some kind. I’m pretty open to whatever but I do want to act." Beer added.
Madison admits boundary-setting has transformed her life
Beer’s sense of self has transformed in recent years, and she has become more at ease with her own inner critic. "My internal criticism I don't think is as harsh as it used to be," Madison shared with the 'Reign with Josh Smith' podcast. She went on to explain, "So I think that I had to make a decision at one point, am I gonna leave social media entirely and stop participating because it's not good for me? Am I gonna make that promise to myself that we're not gonna get in holes of reading comments for hours, and we're not gonna engage with negativity?" Madison admits that setting boundaries has been the key to transforming her life, and she’s learned that it’s okay to put her own well-being first.
"I've been on the internet now for over ten years and I've gotten hate consistently since I joined it when I was 12," the singer explained. "I think for me, setting those boundaries of 'hey, not now' and that's OK. And I'm allowed to shut off and not be present on social media."
