CLEVELAND, OHIO: Dillon Danis has taken a jibe at Logan Paul for deciding a specific date and time to conduct the drug test for their October 14 fight. He said that the test was just another scam by Logan.
Logan Paul is no stranger to facing accusations about utilizing drugs to bulk up and allegations about not being a 'natural' athlete. The ImPaulsive host, however, has always refuted such digs whenever they are made against him.
Dillon Danis is not pleased with the decision
Dillon Danis took to X and tweeted, “This is nonsense. Another scam by Logan Paul to pretend he's clean. Setting a specific day and time for a piss test is the easiest to beat in all of sports, especially for someone like him with experience. It's why the UFC switched to USADA.”
Paul's request that the duo not be tested for performance-enhancing drugs in advance of the fight has been a major talking point for Danis in the run-up to their October 14 battle at the AO Arena in Manchester.
KSI and Tommy Fury, who are co-headlining the event and have both had negative VADA tests in training, will both be tested often, but the Americans won't follow suit.
The normal tests, which Misfits Boxing insist upon and which have caught Spanish influencer Viruzz off-guard following his knockout victory over DK Money in May, will still be administered, Taylor has confirmed to Mirror Fighting.
Although Danis requested that they submit to USADA or VADA testing, there would still be drug inspections throughout the match.
Netizens troll Logan Paul
Netizens have criticized Logan Paul for his decision about the drug test. Some of these comments were — “He knows how to get out of every situation,” “His whole life is a scam,” and “Logan owns you all time hahah.”
Others commented on Danis' accusation, with one saying, “He's been owning Logan since 2002,” while another tweet read, “But we thought you were big bag Dillon Danis dude. Don’t be scared now.”
Some users also emphasized that it could be a fair fight only with proper testing. “Random drug test or it doesn’t count”, read one comment, while another quipped, “I don’t think anyone suspects Logan is clean.” Another X user stated, “Drug testing before a fight is important to ensure a fair competition. So where’s the scam here?”
