JUPITER, FLORIDA: Former golfer and social media sensation, Paige Spiranac believes the golf legend Tiger Woods has been judged too harshly for his behaviour off the golf course. Not only this, but, back in 2021, Spiranac offered Woods her support after learning of his infidelity with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
The world's best golfer's life and career ended with the swing of a club, and it wasn't even his swing. But what actually happened? And what is the relationship between Tiger Woods and Paige Spiranac.
Did Tiger Woods cheat on his ex-wife Elin Nordegren?
Tiger Woods, a multi-ethnic superstar who dominated the historically white sport for awhile, was regarded as the best golfer of all time and a uniquely American success story. His stunning wife (Nordegren) was a former Swedish model who had been taking care of golfer Jesper Parnevik when they first met at the 2001 British Open. They had two kids, Charlie, their youngest, and daughter Sam, who was 2 years older. His wholesome image brought them $110 million in endorsements.
However, on November 26, 2009, Woods and Nordegren, then 29, were hosting his mother for Thanksgiving at their $2.4 million mansion in Windermere, near Orlando. The new issue of the National Enquirer had just been inserted into the checkout racks at the Albertsons grocery across the street the day before. The big headline said, "Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal." A spread within described Woods' several-month relationship with Rachel Uchitel, a nightclub hostess in New York City. During the Australian Masters, she was seen checking into the same hotel as Woods and was overheard informing a buddy, "It's Tiger Woods! I'm not interested in his wife! We're in love"!
Spiranac is an ardent supporter of Woods
On an episode of 'Playing a Round with Paige Renee' podcast, Spiranac supported Woods. She said, "Even when all this was happening, I think people were being too hard on him." She added, "You look at your own life and the things you've done, no one lives a perfect life, we all make mistakes. It's not like he killed someone, he cheated. A lot of people cheat in their lifetime. Probably 99.9 percent of people have done something bad in their life." Earlier she even tweeted in favor of Woods in May 2022.
She continued, "It's not for people to sit on their couch and make him out to be a monster when I don't think anyone could have handled that any better than he has. Let's get rid of cancel culture and help these people, because you don't know what they are going through."
Woods had used his time off to coach his son Charlie, who also appears to be as talented as his father. Spiranac was among those who were impressed by the swings the two of them demonstrated in a video. "Charlie Woods is a mini Tiger," she wrote.
