LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have finally put their wedding lawsuits to rest and moved on!
The couple’s marriage in April 2022 at Palm Beach was marred by multiple lawsuits.
A joint statement was released by the parties involved, including Nicola's father Nelson Peltz and wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events.
What did the joint statement say?
The press release reads, “The parties believe that this contract dispute between Nelson Peltz and Plan Design should be resolved on the terms agreed. As part of the settlement, PDE will make a donation in the name of Nicola and Brooklyn to the CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund.”
It continued, “PDE wishes Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham happiness and a fruitful life together.”
Moreover, the initial and counterclaims ‘have been dismissed with prejudice.’
When were the planners sued by Nelson Peltz?
Nicola’s producer father Nelson filed a lawsuit against two of the wedding planners in December 2022.
Braghin and Grijalba were hired and let go after nine days, though they were hired six weeks ahead of the wedding.
Nelson, as per the lawsuit, claimed that he didn't get his $159,000 deposit back from the two.
"The celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the anticipated attendance of many high-profile guests required that the wedding planner have the expertise and staffing to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of the expected caliber and complexity," Nelson's lawyers alleged, as per lawsuit.
Braghin and Grijalba, then filed a countersuit against Nelson, claiming the breach of contract took place.
"Both Claudia and Nicola had insisted that Victoria Beckham (Brooklyn's mother) could not know about any internal mistakes regarding the ongoing planning of her son's wedding, including any errors with the guest list," read the court documents filed by the planners, as per People.
In March, Nicola and Claudia went ahead with a new motion asking the court to be removed from further legal proceedings following 'malicious and mean-spirited' allegations.
"Aware that its claim is frivolous, PDE shamefully attempts to falsely portray Nicola in an extremely negative light to entice the media and hopefully pressure Mr Peltz to dismiss his well-founded claims against PDE. While this was tailor-made for the tabloids, it could not be further from the truth," the document from Nelson's lawyers read.
Nicola and Brooklyn tied the knot in 2022 in Palm Beach Florida held on Peltz's family estate.
The ceremony also involved traditional Jewish ceremonies, and Nicola's grandma served as her maid of honor.
