BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Tristan Tate, the younger Tate brother was initially less known than his controversial sibling, but not any more. Thanks to their outspoken nature and controversies. Romanian authorities charged the two men with human trafficking and sexual assault following a protracted, months-long investigation.
Prior to the charges, the two brothers were merely under suspicion of engaging in criminal activity. Because of this, they were detained before being placed under house arrest. Tristan Tate asserts that he learnt of the evidence the government had amassed against him while he was imprisoned. The evidence, according to Tristan, is questionable and comprises TikTok videos created by his peers. He claims he was punished but did not specify what the punishment was while attempting to transmit a note to the media that claimed as much.
'The world laughed at me, but this is now their case'
Tate insisted that the Romanian authorities' entire case against him and his brother relies on the strength of whatever evidence was provided by these alleged TikTok videos. It would be really damning if his accusations are accurate given the seriousness of the crimes he and his brother have been accused of committing.
On Twitter, while sharing the note, he wrote, "In jail I found out what “evidence”they were collecting to convict me on a “human trafficking” charge. I was punished for passing this note to the media telling them it was because friends of mine made TikTok videos. The world laughed at me, but this is now their “case”." The next moment, in the thread, he wrote, "The world is shocked to find out that although I’ve been accused of human trafficking it’s nothing to do with pimping or selling people.That’s what it means, that’s what the media think I do now. The accusation is that I control the finances of my friends TikToks accounts."

At the time of writing, the tweet had around 500k views with several comments. Netizens sarcastically commented on Tate's handwriting. A user wrote, "You should have got a 10 for your handwriting."
