LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Addison Rae has become a household name at least among all the Gen Zs after her speedy rise to fame on TikTok nearly three years ago. And with more than 88 million followers, it’s obvious for personalities like her to have fan moments. But in 2021 her social media stardom led to some fans taking things too far.
On an episode of her ‘That Was Fun? With Addison & Sheri’ podcast on May 13, the 22-year-old opened up about her scariest encounter with a fan. Chatting with the guest, makeup artist and TikTok creator Avani Gregg, she shared her terrifying stories.
'I was crying and shaking'
The duo exchanged wildest fan stories, one of which involved Addison's name being yelled outside her home's window in the middle of the night. In the podcast she cited the whole incident, “I just heard something like a car door slam really loud and outside in front of my house. I'm like, ‘Oh, what the heck?’ Like, you don't really think much about it. Because you're like, you know, you live around people obviously," Addison revealed.
She continued, "And then all of a sudden, someone screams from the top of their lungs and they were like ‘Addison!!’ and it was a man. And it was midnight. I ran upstairs as fast as I could. I was crying. I was shaking. I was like, ‘Dad, I just heard someone scream my name outside the door. My room had sliding doors so it didn't have a lock or anything, so anyone could just come in," she added. Then Addison confessed that when her father went outside to check, he didn't see anyone but heard a car speed off down the street. She added, "My heart fell to my toes, I was scared."
