AUSTIN, TEXAS: Popular streamer Felix Lengyel, or xQc as popularly known to his fans, continues to maintain his position as one of the most prominent Just Chatting streamers on Twitch. Not only this, but he has managed to have an impressive following of nearly 12 million on the purple platform.
On Kick, which the controversial streamer recently joined, xQc has managed to amass 470K followers more. Now in a recent update, he has responded to a controversy that said that Felix essentially reposted someone else's content on his channel.
'People are being dumb about this'
Twitch streamer xQc has addressed a recent dispute that has been swirling around about him. A Twitter user even provided a snapshot from one of his YouTube videos where he was seen reacting to an entire video made by another YouTuber in order to provide context. In essence, xQc was accused of reposting someone else's content on his channel while pretending to respond to it. In addition to this, the streamer was also accused of showing little emotion in his reaction videos and frequently being seen eating or drinking while viewing them.
xQc, however, has vehemently denied these claims, instead asserting, "People are being dumb about this." The critics have been countered by xQc, who claims that many of his users prefer to watch videos through his stream. He claims that his broadcast enables his followers to take in the content collectively and participate in immediate debates and comments. He said, "The reason why I didn't commentate was, genuinely chat, the chat was getting mad at me. Jason sent me a DM at night and said, 'Dude, I'm watching the VOD, shut the f**k up.' And I was like, 'Bro, I was enjoying the topic, guess I shouldn't talk about it'." He added, "People are forgetting human nature. People want to sit on their computers, open the one link, have them on a second monitor and play games or whatever. This is what streams are about."
'Keep reacting'
xQc went on to explain that streams do not generally have any inherent qualities. Instead, he stressed that "second screen content" is what actually interests viewers. "Nobody enjoys changing between channels or films," he continued, "preferring to watch a single stream with a variety of programming." Several users commented on the xQc's clip. One user said, "I just love watching vids with chat and xqc thats all. xqcL." A second user wrote, "I love react content idk why but i like it he better keep reacting." A user also noted, "The word "cancelled" is so overused. X isn't getting "cancelled" he's just getting hated on by terminally ill online patients of Twitter." Another user said, "The thing I love most about xqc react content is when he is not in the room for half the video."
