AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan, a UFC commentator, provided insights into his limited prospects within the boxing ring against Jake Paul. Rogan, known for hosting 'The Joe Rogan Experience' (JRE) podcast, where he engages in conversations with various influential personalities, celebrities, and MMA fighters, recently made headlines for criticizing the business and the innovative initiatives of Marvel studios.
There has been speculation surrounding Rogan's potential bout with Paul, who transitioned from an internet personality to a boxer. Paul was recently in the news for making promises to knock out Nate Diaz on August 5.
‘There's a reality of knees and backs’
In a recent installment of the 'Joe Rogan Experience' (JRE), Rogan was joined by comedian Andrew Schultz. During their conversation, Schultz posed a question to Rogan regarding his potential chances in a boxing match against Paul. Rogan candidly acknowledged Paul's skills as a proficient boxer and recognized that he would probably emerge victorious in such a contest due to Rogan's age and existing knee issues.
Expounding on his response, Rogan elaborated, "Well, he'd would probably f*ck me up. He's a really good boxer. He's a good boxer. When I was a younger man and had good knees, I could be kickboxing him, but I can barely get through a workout without being in pain now. There's a reality of knees and backs." As the discussion unfolded about the anticipated bout between Rogan and Paul, it became increasingly apparent that Rogan is not currently positioned to engage in a debut fight against Paul. He openly acknowledges the reality of his advancing age.
'Love how honest Joe is on getting older '
Rogan's candid admission left fans impressed. One of them wrote, "Love how honest Joe is on getting older ?? it’s sooo true about these damn knees. Stairs are not our friend ??." Another said, "Never underestimate someone that underestimate themselves." One YouTube user said, "He just showed the difference between humble old school and arrogant new generation." Another wrote, "Joe is a humble man and that’s why we love him so much. Joe can still throw…down…he’d drop ? that Jake Paul Clown?" Someone else noted, "I’m 60 years old, and I’m telling you, I think Joe would give Jake a run for his money. Joe is no one to mess with."
