HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Raquel Leviss, appeared on Bethenny Frankel's 'Just Be' podcast and opened up about how Bravo punished her at the Season 10 reunion of 'Vanderpump Rules'.
She explained that a number of her co-stars from the show have been reaching out to her lately. In the candid conversation that took place, she also listed her reasons for deciding to never return to the show.
Leviss further discussed her current relationship with the rest of the cast, brought up the network's peculiar security offer, and referred to claims of a spa stay.
Why is Bravo punishing 'Vanderpump Rules' star Raquel Leviss?
Leviss believes Bravo is punishing her for answering several questions candidly in a significantly revealing interview by a photographer in California while she was sitting outside Blush Nail Bar preceding the filming of the show's Season 10 reunion.
She claimed to have just answered a few basic questions that couldn't have possibly hurt the show. Leviss maintains that she didn't give away anything related to the reunion and yet her previously promised mental health advocate was taken away from her by the network.
She stated, “I didn’t give away anything that the reunion was going to touch on and I think the network saw that and was, I don’t know, angry, disappointed and punished me by taking away my mental health advocate.”
Prior to filming, Leviss had been promised a mental health advocate by the network to be present in her trailer for the sake of her mental well-being as she watched the first two parts of the reunion and then the behind-the-scenes.
Why is Raquel Leviss quitting Bravo's 'Vanderpump Rules'
Though Leviss had been negotiating a possible return to the show with Bravo, she ultimately decided to quit the show and remains firm on her decision.
She stated, "I refuse to not respect myself on that level where I would endure that emotional abuse any longer,” adding, “I can't do that to myself.”
Leviss is of the opinion that other members of the cast are given more importance than herself. Therefore, even if she were to return to the show, she wouldn't be granted a redemption arc.
She further complained that the show wouldn't let her share most of her story and would boil everything down to a maximum of five minutes of screen time.
Another significant reason which influenced Leviss's exit from the show is the network's refusal to agree with her salary expectations.
Leviss's demands for pay equal pay to that of Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval fell on deaf ears and even the reimbursement for her treatment expenses wasn't coming from the network.
Raquel Leviss reveals she was contacted by 'Vanderpump Rules' co-stars after quitting
Though she has a no-contact policy with 'Vanderpump Rules' co-stars in effect, Leviss shared that Lala Kent reached out to her on Instagram, offering to lend an ear. Even Lisa Vanderpump wanted her back on the show as well.
Leviss reiterated that the reason why she does not communicate with her co-stars from the show is that she does not trust them, believing that they only contacted her due to some "ulterior motive" that they might have.
