Why did Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton split?
According to a source, Malek and Boynton parted ways earlier this year "without much fanfare". "They were together for a long time but had grown apart. They are both moving on with their lives and are busy with work," said the source.

Malek paid tribute to Boynton after award-winning 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
Malek, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury, expressed his affection for his girlfriend during one of his acceptance speeches at a film festival gala. "Lucy Boynton, you are the heart of this film, you are beyond immensely talented, and you have captured my heart," the actor declared in his tribute to Boynton as she looked on from the crowd with fondness.
During the 2019 Venice Film Festival which the couple attended together, Boynton talked about the fan craze surrounding her boyfriend going beyond the limit at times. "It's lovely to see people who are excited about his work — if they've seen Mr. Robot or [the] Freddie [Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody] — but it's just that thing of people grabbing him. I mean, you'd never grab a complete stranger in the street. And I think there's a sense of ownership," she explained.
The split comes at a time when the now exes have been busy with their respective careers as Malek appeared for the role of a nuclear physicist David Hill who is involved in the creation of the atomic bomb during World War Two in Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" released on July 21, 2023. His other notable role includes Lyutsifer Safin, the main villain in the latest James Bond film 'No Time Die'. Meanwhile, Boynton recently appeared as Proust Barbie in Greta Gerwig's 2023 film 'Barbie'.
