LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Adele garnered significant praise on social media for defending a fan who stood up, enthusiastically singing along to Adele's popular songs but blocking the view for the ones behind him.
The incident happened during her Las Vegas concert on August 26 causing Adele to abruptly halt her performance upon witnessing a security guard confronting the fan.
However, a recent TikTok video shared by the fan sheds light on the events that transpired just prior to the incident. In the process, they unintentionally obstructed the view of the rows behind them.
Why did Adele stop her Las Vegas concert?
As per Variety, During her Las Vegas residency on August 26, Adele took a remarkable pause in her concert to reprimand a Caesars Palace security personnel who seemed to be troubling one of her attendees.
In a video captured by a fan, Adele's performance of 'Water Under the Bridge' comes to a halt as she inquires about the commotion in the audience.
The fan in question was seen holding a device resembling a selfie stick, energetically dancing and singing along while capturing the entire episode on video. This recording was subsequently shared on TikTok.
Adele called out to the audience saying, “What is going on there with that young fan who’s been bothered so much since I came on for standing up? What’s going on with him? Yes, you, with your hand up, yes you!”

Adele's concert in Las Vegas is 2+ hours. After an extraordinary streak of performances that shattered records, the songstress made the exciting revelation that she will be prolonging her Las Vegas residency, Rolling Stone reports.
A fresh series of dates for her residency commenced in June 2023, building upon her initial success.
This second installment comes on the heels of her debut Vegas run titled ‘Weekends With Adele’, which, after an almost year-long postponement, finally commenced in November 2022.
Rolling Stone further reported that in a heartfelt address to her Vegas audience during her March show, Adele conveyed her intentions to further delight her fans by extending the duration of 'Weekends With Adele' until the conclusion of 2023.
She said, “Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough, and I know that, so I am coming back."
Adele then continued, “I’ll be back for a few weeks in June, and I’m gonna film it and I’m gonna release it to make sure that anyone who wants to see this show can see it.”
