LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Eva Longoria, who is famous for her starring role in ‘Desperate Housewives’, is “deeply concerned” about her former husband Tyler Christopher. Christopher was recently arrested because of an incident of public intoxication at the Hollywood Burbank Airport on May 26. He was allegedly inebriated and fell on the floor of the airport, causing him to miss his flight.
As per RadarOnline, an insider said that the 48-year-old actress is anxious about Christopher whom she married in 2002. Even though the pair divorced in 2004, the ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ star is concerned about Christopher. The source further informed that she is willing to help Christopher, saying, "But she would give Tyler any help he needs, including paying for a trip to rehab.” Longoria is now happily married to Jose Baston.
Who is Tyler Christopher?
Tyler Christopher is an American actor known for his roles in the soap operas of ABC and NBC networks. Born on November 11, 1972, the actor started his career on national television when he was cast as Nikolas Cassadine in the longest-running soap, ‘General Hospital’. After leaving the show in 1999, Christopher returned in 2003. After having an on-and-off stint with the show for more than a decade, Christopher made his last appearance in June 2016. In the meantime, he also starred in another ABC series, ‘The Lying Game’. He later starred in NBC’s ‘Days of Our Lives’ from December 2017 to March 2019.
Christopher has been in two successive relationships with his ‘General Hospital’ co-star Vanessa Marcil and then Natalia Livingstone. He later married Eva Longoria in 2002. The pair divorced in 2004. Then, in October 2006, Christopher announced that he was engaged to auto racing reporter Brienne Pedigo and the duo got married in 2008. The couple separated in 2019.
Christopher was previously charged with public intoxication in 2019. He plead guilty then and had to pay a small fine. He fractured his head in 2019 while withdrawing from alcohol poisoning. After that he was put under his sister, Asmo Baker’s guardianship from 2020. The guardianship ended in 2021. He was the recipient of the Daytime Emmy Award for his role in ‘General Hospital’ in 2016. Recently he appeared in the TV movie ‘Ice Storm’ in 2023.
'I was a terrible wife'
While it is exactly not known when the former couple met each other, after dating for a few months, the pair got married in Las Vegas in 2002. However, things were not rosy all the time. By Longoria’s own admission, “[Being married] is harder than we thought,” as per Soap Hub. One year into the marriage, Longoria revealed in an interview that the duo are extremely different from each other, saying, “We both have our habits that we won’t give up.”
Ultimately, their different natures made it impossible for their relationship to work and the couple called it quits in 2004. Four years later, in 2008, Longoria said “He was a lovely man, but I was very young. I didn’t know who I was, and I was still struggling as an actor. I was a terrible wife,” as per Digital Spy.
