LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The death of 'Euphoria' star Angus Cloud on Monday, July 31, has elicited a response from Sydney Martin, a model who was said to have been in an on-and-off connection with him. The model, who made a brief cameo on 'Euphoria' in Season 2, wrote what seemed a heartfelt tribute to Cloud on Instagram.
Martin did not directly mention the late actor, who was found dead in his Oakland home at 25, or add any text. She posted a set of broken heart emojis on a dark background.
Who is Sydney Martin?
Born and brought up in Anchorage, Alaska, actress and model Martin relocated to Los Angeles at the age of 18. She has worked for several fashion and beauty companies, appeared in more than 40 music videos for well-known artistes and a popular social media influencer. She has starred in various TV programs, including 'Euphoria', 'All American' on the CW, 'Grown-ish' on ABC and 'The Rookie'.
Martin;s post was up a few minutes after Cloud's death was announced. She removed a number of other Instagram posts at the same, according to In Touch. She featured on the episode, 'Trying To Get To Heaven Before They Close The Door', on 'Euphoria'. She was credited as "bikini girl" in the episode.
Were Angus Cloud and Sydney Martin dating?
Cloud and Martin were allegedly dating, according to gossip page DeuxMoi. Martin had posted photos with Cloud on January 7, 2022, with the message, "Euphoria is out in 2 days," even though they had not publicly announced they were together.
Following Cloud's death, the cast and some of the executives of 'Euphoria', including Drake, Storm Reid and Kathrine Narducci, paid heartfelt tributes to the actor.
In a 911 call, Cloud's mother reportedly said that he appeared to be experiencing a "possible overdose" when she found him late on Monday morning at his family's Oakland home, according to TMZ.
In a statement, Cloud's family said, "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways." According to sources close to the family, Cloud had been experiencing "severe suicidal thoughts" since his father died recently, and he travelled to Ireland last week to pay his last respects, per the Daily Mail.
