ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Sanya Richards-Ross recently spoke out about prioritizing a second pregnancy, alleging that her younger sister, Shari-Richards Ross despised her for being the "star" of the family when she was younger as Season 15 of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' comes to a close.
Shari is more than simply Sanya's sister. Her sister Sanya, who was born on February 26, 1985, is more than a year younger. They share a closeness that extends beyond that of siblings. Although Sanya has "a lot of great titles" for Shari, she acknowledges that "sister" is her favorite.
Shari kept a close eye on Sanya's cycle even throughout her first pregnancy with Deucey. She even contacted Aaron Ross when she suspected Sanya was ovulating. Similarly, Sanya was by Shari's side throughout her pregnancy. He was present when Shari gave birth.
Sanya further stated in Season 14 that Shari "doesn't sleep because Deucey doesn't have a brother or sister." Shari was debating whether it was time to have another kid with her husband, in addition to fighting with the other women.
Relationship
Shari met her husband, Tyrell Gatewood at the University of Texas during her freshman year. The two had always been close and chose to label their relationship in 2009. After a few years of dating, Shari surprised Tyrell with an early supper at Eddie V's for his 30th birthday. Tyrell, on the other hand, was one step ahead of Shari. Tyrell went down on one knee after dinner, in front of all of Shari's friends and family, and asked Shari to marry him.
The couple married in February at The Vista in Seward Hill. Shari's dream wedding venue has always been The Vista.
Shari and her husband then had two sons, Slade and Shiloh. Slade, the oldest, turned five on February 4, 2022, and Shiloh, the youngest, turned three on August 11, 2021. Shari has two stepsons, Tyriel and Armani, in addition to them. The six-person family lived peacefully in Austin, Texas.
Tyrell, for example, graduated from the University of Texas and afterward worked as a broker with Fathom Realy. Last time we looked, he was also a manager for Accountable.
Career
Shari is the co-owner of The Hair Clinic and a former hairdresser. She launched her hair business in 2008 and became a full-time mom ten years later. The Hair Clinic garnered several excellent ratings during its operation.
Shari now works as an author at MommiNation in addition to being a 'full-time mum'. She also manages the Lade + Loh clothing brand, which was inspired by her children. But Shari's greatest responsibility would undoubtedly be to care for her children and nurture them to be wonderful guys.
Shari was not yet mentioned in the RHOA IMDb credits as of April 2022. She does, however, have an IMDb page for her work on 'Sanya's Glam & Gold' (2013) and 'Pittsburgh: Getting to the Bottom of Our Blues' (2009).
'RHOA' fans upset as Sanya-Richards Ross doesn't invite Shari Gatewood to ultrasound
Marlo Hampton accompanied Sanya to Dr. Jackie for a maternity exam in the 'RHOA' season finale, which aired on August 27. This led fans to wonder why Sanya would invite Marlo over her own sister, casting doubt on their relationship. Sanya said to the Bravo cameras, "I think it's super important to celebrate your second child, just like you did the first one. Because my parents fostered an environment where I was kind of the star. My little sister hated that."
One person asked on X, "Sooo Sanya couldn’t call her mom or sister when Ross couldn’t come??" Another person chimed in, "So Sanya has admitted that she was treated as the star and Shari was treated like the other sister." A third user tweeted, "Ross wasn’t there for #Sanya ultrasound appt but she called #Marlo instead of her sister and mom."
One fan further noted, "So sanya couldn't asked her mom or sister to come to her doctor's appointment but she asked forked tongue out of all people to come to her appointment get real." On the 'RHOA' Season 15 finale, which aired on August 27, an update at the conclusion said, "Sanya’s family has finally moved out... but they live 10 minutes away," which possibly could be the reason behind Shari missing out on the ultrasound appointment.
When Sanya's family lived with her, they lived in the home's tastefully equipped basement, as Sanya demonstrated in the movie.

Sanya's living circumstances have changed dramatically. According to the 'RHOA' cast member, her house has been "packed" with family members since the show's Season 15 launch. Sanya said one of the reasons she was glad to have her family living with her was in Season 16, Episode 5.
"I don’t want to be selfish, but I can be in Atlanta on Monday, and New York on Friday, and L.A. on Sunday, and knowing that my son is always at home, always has someone that’s family, that I know loves him so much, it works so well for me."
Her spouse, on the other hand, thought otherwise, telling Sanya, "It's time to be on our own."
Throughout the season, Sanya battled to reconcile her family members' conflicting perspectives on their living situation and what it would mean if her family moved out.
Who is Sanya-Richards Ross?
Sanya Richards-Ross, who was born in the Jamaican city of Kingston, began running at the age of seven, which is not unusual in a society that values sports. She won a handful of races as a teenager and quickly acquired a dislike of losing, a personality trait that has remained with her throughout her career.
She relocated to the United States with her family when she was 12 years old, and in 2002, during her senior year of high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she was voted National High School Female Athlete of the Year and USA Track and Field Youth Athlete of the Year.
