BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: 'Real Housewives of New York City' Season 14 is all set to premiere soon starring six women. The latest season is going to create history as a multicultural, diverse, energetic, and exciting group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country will join the cast.
Former J Crew president Jenna Lyons, the first openly gay housewife, and fashion publicist and brand consultant Jessel Taank, the first Indian housewife, join the diverse cast alongside home renovation guru Erin Dana Lichy, model and philanthropist Ubah Hassan, influencer Lizzy Savetsky, and brand marketing and communications professional Brynn Whitfield. The cast will also feature the creative director of Scout the City, Sai De Silva.
Who is Sai De Silva?
Sai De Silva was born in Los Angeles, California but moved to New York when she was just two years old. She often moved to different places but always came back to NY. Silva has Puerto Rican, Brazilian, and Cuban origins but she relates to her Puerto Rican side the most. She is also a content creator who chronicles her fashion and lifestyle, garnering attention and partnerships from Dior, Fendi, Audemar, Piguet, Bentley, Vogue, and more. She also worked as a bartender in New York City for about eight years. Besides, she owned a fashion accessory company and was a social media strategist. But all her other professions came to a halt after she started the blog. Besides being a busy fashion bee, Silva is also a mom of two children, a 6-year-old daughter named London and a one-year-old son, Rio Dash. Notably, Silva named her blog after her daughter London. She is also a loyal friend and devoted wife to her husband David, who manages their household so that Silva can run the digital empire she has built from scratch.
Sai De Silva on 'Real Housewives of New York City'
Silva wants to bring something different to the latest season of 'RHONC'. In an interview with Page Six, Silva noted that conflict is a staple of the 'Real Housewives' franchise, but she isn't sure it will factor into the new and improved 'RHONY' series. She shared, "You know what? It’s a new cast, and it’s a new start, so maybe we can rewrite something a little bit different." However, Silva also teased another 'RHONY' staple - drunken nights out. The mom of two is well-prepared. She added, "We are all extremely professional. We all do our own thing. We all work, which is very nice. We are very positive and uplifting." However, no matter how much the women try to be positive and uplifting, they will not be able to escape the drama that comes with being on a Bravo reality series. Silva revealed that the viewers will get a few eye rolls every now and then, but "this is definitely going to be something new and refreshing."
'Real Housewives of New York City' Season 14 will premiere on Sunday, July 16 at 9 pm ET on Bravo. You can also catch the new episodes the next day on Peacock.
