LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ host Michael Strahan returned to the morning show last week after a long hiatus. His absence from the show was filled in by Juju Chang for the Fourth of July broadcast. Recently, the former football player brutally slammed his fill-in co-host, Rebecca Jarvis during a live ‘GMA’ edition of ‘The $100K Pyramid.’
'The $100K Pyramid' is a popular American television game show that features well-known celebrities as contestants. In a recent episode of the 'GMA' edition of 'The $100K Pyramid,' morning hosts Rebecca Jarvis and Whit Johnson competed alongside actors Johnny Knoxville and Patrick Wilson as contestants. The game was fun, but Michael Strahan didn't hold back from mocking his co-host Rebecca Jarvis and his game partner after their poor performance on the game.
Who is Rebecca Jarvis?
Rebecca Jarvis, born September 28, 1981, is an American journalist and former investment banker. She works for ABC News as chief business, technology and economics correspondent. She is a well-known figure on television, appearing as an anchor and correspondent on popular programs such as 'Good Morning America,' 'Nightline' and 'This Week,' '20/20' and 'ABC World News Tonight.'
‘GMA’ Michael Strahan’s fun play with Rebecca Jarvis
During a recent 'GMA' edition of the game 'The $100K Pyramid," 'GMA' host Michael Strahan, who is also the host of the game show, brutally shaded his fill-in host Rebecca Jarvis and her celebrity partner Johnny Knoxville. In the daytime broadcast that preceded the game show's return, the hosts performed a playful version of the show. Michael, feeling the need for practice, teamed up with Rebecca and Whit Johnson. For the game, they were joined by actors Patrick Wilson and Johnny Knoxville. In the first round, Whit and Patrick did well, answering five of seven questions correctly, while Rebecca and Johnny answered two of seven questions correctly. When Whit and Patrick scored six in the next round, Michael playfully took his co-hosts to task, adding, "Johnny and Rebecca, I don't think it's really going to matter much, but I'm going to let you go one more time." Rebecca replied before selecting the next category, "Oooo"
During their second round, Rebecca and Johnny improved their performance as Whit encouraged them saying they were, “doing great,” however, they only scored four correct answers. The final round determined the winners, with Whit and Patrick scoring five and Rebecca and Johnny securing three, making the former the victorious team. In a lighthearted manner, Michael jokingly remarked that “I gotta say, it was a close game.” He continued, “With a score of 16 to nine, our winners are Whit and Patrick.” The 51-year-old concluded, “You guys did your best.”
‘GMA’ hosts embrace new social media platform
The familiar faces of ‘GMA’, Michael Strahan, Ginger Zee, and Sam Champion, recently made announcements about their presence on the Threads app. The app, created by Meta, Facebook's parent company, offers a Twitter-like experience where users can share photos, videos, and text posts. While the hosts intend to engage with the Threads community, it remains uncertain whether they will completely transition from their existing Twitter accounts. With this move, they aim to further connect with their audience and foster a new dimension of interaction.
