ASPEN, COLORADO: Kendra Matic, a drag queen known to have performed at Quinn Gallagher's Aspen bar, has come forward with claims regarding a purported relationship.
Matic told TMZ on Thursday, September 21, that Quinn Gallagher and US Rep Lauren Boebert have been dating for a long time.
"I know that they've been dating for a while, for months," Matic claimed. "First date and somebody's touching your boobies like that?"
This comes in contrast to Boebert's claim that she ended the relationship due to political differences, citing her date's affiliation with the Democratic party.
Who is Lauren Boebert dating?
Boebert's date was revealed to be Quinn Gallagher, a 46-year-old Democrat bar owner and divorced father.
On September 10, Colorado congresswoman Boebert and Gallagher caused a stir when they were captured on camera engaging in inappropriate behavior, including vaping, singing along, and taking pictures, during a Denver performance of 'Beetlejuice'.
The incident led to them getting kicked out of the theatre, prompting public outcry and discussion.
Matic took a stand in support of Gallagher, defending him and praising him as an "amazing" boss.
"He opened the doors for me. At that moment, I was the only drag queen working that night … I was the main performer," she said.
"That was amazing. It was an amazing night. He’s an amazing guy. He treated me very, very, kind, very good."
Kendra Matic criticizes Lauren Boebert's anti-LGBTQ+ remarks
However, Matic also voiced disapproval regarding Gallagher's choice of partner, due to some of the nasty things the US Representative has said about LGBTQ+ issues.
Matic didn't mince words, calling out Boebert for her "horrible" rhetoric. "I don't know why people care so much about what you do in your bed. At least I do that in my bed and not in a theater," Matic said.
"I don't like this relationship because I don't like this girl. If (Gallagher) call me, I'm gonna go to work with him again, of course, always," Matic added.
A Daily Mail report unveiled Boebert and Gallagher's supposed secret relationship, indicating that they had been dating for several months.
"It's very surprising. I always thought Quinn was a cool guy and a Democrat. His parents would be horrified because they are definitely blue," a source said.
Earlier this week, the Denver District Attorney's Office chose not to pursue charges against Boebert concerning her "inappropriate" behavior during the 'Beetlejuice' performance.
"While Congresswoman Boebert’s conduct in the theater was clearly inappropriate and disrespectful, we concluded that it does not warrant a criminal prosecution," Matthew Jablow, a spokesperson with the Denver District Attorney’s Office said.
