MISSION VIEJO, CALIFORNIA: A relieving update has come in the case of a social media influencer who was in a coma for days following a brain aneurysm. Jackie Miller James was nine months pregnant when she fell unconscious in early June before being taken to the hospital, where her baby was delivered via an emergency C-section. She also underwent five brain surgeries in between.
The 35-year-old has now risen from the coma and finally got to see her newborn, the Daily Mail reported citing a statement by her family. In an Instagram post, the family said, “We are beyond thrilled to share that your loving prayers for Jackie have been working! Jackie is awake and was recently transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country.”
‘She has an incredibly long road to recovery’
“The doctors have been pleased upon her latest tests, numbers, and evaluations, noting that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery and is progressing more with every passing day,” it noted, before sharing that “while Jackie is making wonderful strides, she has an incredibly long road to recovery ahead of her.”
The statement also added that Jackie’s little girl “is a constant source of light for the entire family and continues to grow into a happy, healthy, and animated little angel. Jackie has also recently been reunited with her baby, and spends a great deal of each day with her entire family while in the hospital.”
Who is Jackie Miller James' husband?
Jackie has been married to Austin since April last year. According to his Facebook page, he is the vice president of a company named Ezlo Innovation after pursuing art history at Auburn University. The social media page also mentions Austin has done a course in Public Relations and Advertising at The University of Alabama.
In February 2021, he posted a series of pictures on his Instagram page and wrote, “She Said Yes - 2/13/21! ? I get to marry my best friend and I could not be more excited to do life with you @jaxandrose.”
‘Deeply touched by everyone’s love and support’
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe has been started for Jackie’s medical care. It said, “In addition to what insurance can cover, the family has been advised to expect significant outside costs related to speech therapy, physical therapy, home modifications, and alternative therapies once we realize the severity of her deficits. These funds will help Jackie’s long-term recovery and quality of life as a new mother. Any funds that remain unused will be donated to similar families in need or related charities.”
In an update, the fundraiser added, “Our family sincerely thanks the community that has rallied around Jackie’s recovery thus far. We are deeply touched by everyone’s love and support and have found strength from the kindness and generosity of friends, family, followers, and strangers alike. We remain dedicated to securing optimal care for the highest quality of life for Jackie following this tragic event.”
