LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It’s a nostalgic moment for all the ‘90s people as Carmen Electra, 51, and Jenny McCarthy, 50, turn up the heat in a new campaign for SKIMS Swim. The former MTV bombshells looked splendid as they rocked skimpy string bikinis. The ad campaign brought back the old trope of 'hot girls washing a car' as it showed the two divas in their glamorous avatars as they had fun soaping up a red vehicle kept in the background.
Both Electra and McCarthy rose to fame following their stints on MTV and modeling for Playboy in the '90s. Carmen cemented her status as a sex symbol after appearing as Lani McKenzie in the iconic show, ‘Baywatch’ in 1997. While the bombshells have been the cause of sleepless nights for many males, the pertinent question remains who is at the receiving end of their attention? While McCarthy is happily married to Donnie Wahlberg since 2014, who is Carmen Electra dating? Keep reading to find out!
Who is Carmen Electra dating?
Born Tara Leigh Patrick, Carmen Electra is currently enjoying her singlehood. She has, however, had some relationships in the past. At the beginning of her career, she dated the late star Prince with whom she released her debut album through his record, Paisley Park Records. Electra got married twice - once with Dave Navarro in 2003 but the 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave' stars announced their separation in 2007. She was also briefly married to Dennis Rodman from 1998 to 1999. She had been engaged to Rob Patterson from 2008 to 2012.
'Carmen Electra and Jenny McCarthy reunite in summer’s sexiest swim'
SKIMS went all out in promoting the Swim campaign as they published both still and video shots of the duo. In one campaign they wrote, "Everybody’s wearing SKIMS this summer! 90s bombshells @CarmenElectra & @JennyMcCarthy reunite in the sexiest swim under the sun."
Another campaign that caused a stir had it captioned, "Back at full-throttle: @CarmenElectra & @JennyMcCarthy reunite in summer’s sexiest swim."
'My life changed overnight'
Electra, who describes herself as "passionate", said in an interview with Shot Magazine, "When I joined the cast of Baywatch, it was already the number one show around the world. My life changed overnight. I was excited and nervous but really grateful to be part of a show that I also believe is a cult classic." Talking about her childhood dream, Electra revealed, "As a child I was very shy but loved to express myself through movement. I dreamt of being a professional dancer or a bad-ass drummer in an all-girl band."
'The fact that they still slay this hard'
A fan was transported back to the '90s and said, "Omg are we still in the 90s?! 😍😍😍They look exactly the same! Wow! Love this drop! 🔥🔥🔥🔥." "Wow they’re both so hot still and haven’t aged a day! 🔥😍❤️," exclaimed the second. Another fan praised the SKIMS founder for killer ads, "Wowowwowowwwwwww touché Kim ! Killing the ad campaign game over and over." Another remarked, "This has got to be the best promotion campaign 🔥🔥🔥." Another even asked Sports Illustrated to take notes, "Sports illustrated should take notes from Skims."
Another self-proclaimed "MTV kid" announced, "Omg I’m dead I love this sooooo much - love those ladies!!! MTV kid right here 🙋🏼♀️." "The fact that they still slay this hard 😍🔥," said another. Seeing Electra and McCarthy, another anticipated, "PAM ANDERSON X SKIMS? SOON?"
"This is insane! Drop dead GORG throwback where? Glowing," said someone else. "Might have been a 2000’s baby but my love for the 90’s is endless this is so iconic," said a user.
