LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There were multiple clues about Carly Reeves' famous relative in the Season 2 premiere of 'Claim to Fame' that got her booted out. On the first episode of the new season on Monday, June 26, contenders instantly recognized Tom Hanks as housemate Reeves' famous uncle.
Reeves, who is Rita Wilson's sister's daughter, became Hanks' niece through marriage, as per USA Today. She, herself, has a successful acting career of her own and has benefited from her uncle Hanks' guidance and has also starred in movies with him. Reeves, however, was entirely unprepared to be eliminated so soon and blamed the clues for being too obvious.
Twelve relatives of celebrities are brought together on the show 'Claim to Fame,' hosted by brothers Frankie and Kevin Jonas, in a house full of hints about their famous family member. The participant who successfully hides their identity during the entire competition receives the $100,000 cash prize.
Who is Carly Reeves?
Carly Reeves was the first famous relative whose identity was revealed in the 'Claim to Fame' season 2 premiere. Besides, being the niece of the famous 'Forrest Gump' actor, Reeves debuted as an actress in the 'Raise Your Voice' (2004) film, starring Hilary Duff. She has also appeared in films starring her famous uncle, like 'Charlie Wilson's War' and 'Larry Crowne'. Another film she is known for is 'Broken at Love'.
According to her official website, Reeves spent her early years in Reseda, California, where she lived with her mother and sister. For high school, she relocated to the Pacific Palisades. She studied sketch writing at UCB and worked on YouTube skits. Reeves also had a performance at the Strait Jacket Society in Hollywood and has written musical parodies as well.
Reeves claimed that the fact that her famous relative's identity was too evident in the clues led to her being eliminated. She was the first celebrity relative to be revealed by her fellow competitor Hugo, who risked being eliminated if he made a mistake. In addition to being one of the most well-known figures on earth, Tom Hanks was linked to a staggering number of movie-related objects on the clue wall. Hugo's best chance of staying in the game was to correctly guess Reeves' famous relative.

Iconic actor Tom Hanks is Reeves' uncle. Reeves praises her uncle after Hugo correctly deduces that she is famous for being related to Tom Hanks. "He’s always been there for me, and not only is he so kind, but he is so funny and he’s so smart. I can go to him with advice for anything. Everything that you hear about Tom is true. He is the nicest guy in Hollywood. And I just absolutely love him," Reeves admits in the episode.
Reeves was annoyed by the blatant hints about her famous relative on the clue wall, including a park bench and ping pong paddle that alluded to Tom Hanks' 1994 Oscar-winning movie 'Forrest Gump.' After her housemate Hugo successfully identified her Hollywood relative and ousted her from the competition, she vented her annoyance in an angry outburst.

Internet users, however, were not so impressed by Reeves' emotional outburst on the show and ended up trolling her for her temper tantrum.
