MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: In a sneak peek for Episode 4, Brynn Whitfield of the revamped 'The Real Housewives of New York' cast revealed that she had a difficult childhood. The star also talked about the possibility of reuniting with her third ex-fiance, Gideon Lang-Laddie.
'RHONY' star Brynn hails from Indiana, where she was primarily raised by her grandmother. She later relocated to New York City, rising to prominence as a well-known socialite after studying communications. Though she seldom talks about her parents, Brynn admitted in a preview from an upcoming 'RHONY' episode that she had a complicated childhood lacking a strong foundation and spoke candidly about how it affects her present life.
'Brynn had a really rough history'
According to the 'RHONY' preview, the cast is about to discuss their plans for Thanksgiving in Episode 4, sparking the talks about family and relationships. All the women are heard talking about their long-standing rituals with individuals they care about surrounding the holiday. This led to Brynn opening up about her childhood, which lacked stability, making her holidays a bit different. After disclosing that her grandmother adopted her, Brynn went on to state, "I never had, like, a real family."
When Jenna Lyons questioned Brynn about having a parental figure, she replied with a "No," and said that her brother was the closest thing to her when it came to calling someone family. "I’ve always known that Brynn had a really rough history, but I didn’t realize it was this bad," Erin Lichy, who was seated across from Brynn, later expressed in a confessional. "And it’s heartbreaking because you can tell that she’s upset about it," added Erin. Later, Brynn said emotionally, "Now, I’m not close with most any of my relatives — and I so badly want to have a family of my own, and traditions, and a place to go."
Who is Brynn Whitfield's third ex-fiance?
In the preview, Brynn went on to describe how her ex-boyfriends play an important role in her stability, stating she'll often contact them when she has nowhere to go or no one to turn to. Even though Brynn doesn't have any family members to depend on over the holidays, she did claim she was heading to London, England, for Thanksgiving with an ex-fiance, Gideon Lang-Laddie, saying that they are consciously uncoupled.
Sai De Silva described Gideon to be a "sweet guy," while Erin shared in her confession, "Gideon. I wish she would get with him. Just I don't know why he's so cute." Erin on the other hand stated he is a nice Jewish guy who's also very cute. Sai let Brynn know about sensing that Gideon looks at her with "stars in his eyes." Almost at the end of the preview, Brynn is heard saying, "There's a 20 percent chance I might marry him and it's increasing."
Brynn has a lot going on in her life, but dating isn't one of them right now. Having said that, despite not being a true "housewife" at the moment, she regards herself as a "trophy wife in the making." She revealed her dating status to the Daily Dish during the 'RHONY' Season 14 launch event in July. "I am single," the fiery socialite declared. "I feel so lame, I’m like I should have got a boyfriend for this red carpet! I am single, though." Brynn also mentioned that she is still in contact with two of her exes and spends time with them on a regular basis.
