LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ host Ana Navarro, 51, knows how to enjoy life away from the studio. A fierce political commentator, Ana is always seen defending her point of view but the 51-year-old anchor from Miami, Florida, recently took some time out of her busy schedule to enjoy an intimate dinner with her husband, Al Remigio Cardenas, 75. The duo were on a romantic date night and a public display of affection was completely on the table.
Ana’s husband, Al, is rarely seen on social media but during their latest rendezvous, Ana ensured that she captures a snap of her husband as he stared at the food on his table he later walked over to his wife and planted a kiss on her lips as she sat in her seat. The duo was seen enjoying a dinner at Casa Xabi, a Basque place in Coconut Grove, Miami. Ana shared two snaps of her husband and captioned the post, praising the restaurant. She wrote, “Chef Xabi is from San Sebastián and brings those flavors to the menu. I almost didn’t post this, cuz I’m afraid when people find out, I’m not going to be able to get in the door.”
Who is Al Remigio Cardenas?
Hailing from Cuba, Al Cardenas immigrated to the US when he was a 12-year-old with his mother and his younger sister. Al is a Cuban-born lawyer, politician, and conservative activist out of Miami, Florida. He served under former president Ronald Reagan and led the President’s transition team to organize and restructure the Department of Commerce. Reagan and former President George HW Bush also appointed Cardenas to the Board of Directors for the Federal National Mortgage Association, and he served on the President’s Trade Policy Commission.
Cardenas recalls that he became a lawyer by accident when he attended a debate between representatives for candidates Nixon and McGovern. Cardenas is also considered to be one of Washington DC’s top lobbyists. Cardenas married Navarro in a lavish and star-studded wedding in 2019. The invitees included CNN’s Anderson Cooper, actress Eva Longoria, and singer Gloria Estefan as well as politicians including senators Mitt Romney and Bob Menendez. Despite their glaring age difference of 24 years, the duo are going strong than ever.
Ana Navarro at odds with Sara Haines
During a recent Hot Topics segment on ‘The View’, Whoopi Goldberg, talked about the importance of punctuality. Sara Haines took Whoopi’s side and noted a person shows "such a disrespect of [other] people's time" when they arrive late. She then used an intense hand gesture at Ana, who took offense to it and replied instantly, "I don't like the way you're pointing at me, Sara!” Haines later clarified that it wasn’t meant to irk Ana and another disaster was avoided.
