NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts was once again nowhere to be found on the panel of the morning show on June 14, 2023. The 62-year-old anchor revealed in her morning prayer video that she will attend the Special Olympics World Games held in Berlin. Rebecca Jarvis replaced her temporarily on the panel.
Roberts only returned to the morning show a week ago after an extended break. In the video posted on Tuesday right after the show's broadcast, the host shared her excitement about attending the sports event and that she will be away for a while.
Robin Roberts off to Berlin
Roberts posted another one of her morning prayer and thoughts videos on Tuesday like she regularly does after the 'GMA shoot'. After the usual motivational prayer, the show host revealed her plans for the rest of the week.
"Me, my GlamFam, and even sweet Amber, are heading to Berlin after the show today," the host said in the video. She will be joined by her styling team GlamFam and her partner Amber Laign.
Roberts shared her excitement to attend the sports event along with Laign and the GlamFam who are always present with her in the morning prayer videos. The host said, “We're going to be at the Special Olympics World Games and we love being with the athletes and the families, and all of the volunteers."
Roberts also added, “We will be live from Berlin.” The host will report the Opening Ceremony from Berlin on June 16, 2023.
Roberts’ repeated absences on GMA
It was only last week that Roberts returned to her position on the GMA panel after being away for a week-long hiatus. The host had taken a much-needed break for which she traveled with her closest friends and partner.
Roberts is set to be away for a while as she is to report the sports event on Friday. In the Instagram video, the host said she will share a couple of her fan-favorite morning prayers in the next few days. She said, “We will try to sneak in a morning message or two if we can. So, in the meantime, have a blessed day and be a blessing!”
