NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The "Queen of Pop" made all her fans quite anxious with the news of her recent hospitalization. Madonna's longtime manager Guy Oseary informed through Instagram that the singer collapsed on June 24 while rehearsing for her Celebration Tour and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU.
Now that the 'Hung Up' singer has been discharged from the hospital, she is recuperating in the serenity of her home in New York City. Located at a coveted address in Manhattan, her home is the perfect place for the songstress to recover from the bacterial infection and regain her strength amid the love and care of her family.
Where does Madonna live?
Madonna is the proud owner of a mansion that is located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. An address befitting the queen, Madonna's house is just a few blocks east of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. The property has a massive width of 57 feet, as per Hello! Magazine, and one of the major attractions of the building include its 3,000-square-foot garden.
Moreover, the residence, which is reportedly worth $32.5 million, has 13 bedrooms, a large drawing room, and a befittingly large kitchen. Apart from her New York house, the 'Material Girl' singer is the owner of an impressive Moorish Revival mansion in Lisbon. The 18th-century home has an area of 16,146-square-foot and boasts four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a guesthouse, among other things. Madonna reportedly bought her Portugal property when her son David Banda started playing at the Benfica Youth Academy in Portugal.
Madonna's children were seen in her NYC mansion
When the star mother was hospitalized after she was found unresponsive on June 24, Madonna's family became quite concerned. It was reported that the 'Frozen' singer's eldest daughter Lourdes Leon, 26, was at the bedside of the pop star throughout her hospitalization. As Madonna is slowly recovering, Leon, however, has become a little relaxed with her watch.
Madonna's sons, Rocco Ritchie, 22, and David Banda, 17, were also seen visiting her in the apartment. They were seen arriving at the apartment building on Wednesday, June 28, and leaving the premises on Friday, June 30. While Ritchie was seen crossing the street in front of his mother's home in the morning of Friday, Banda was spotted getting into an SUV later that day. However, both of them reportedly returned in the afternoon.
Apart from them, Madonna is also a mother to Mercy James, 17, and 9-year-old twins Stella Ciccone and Estere Ciccone. They were, however, not photographed during their mother's illness.
Madonna's health is 'improving'
Madonna's manager Oseary took to Instagram to originally break the news of the songstress's illness, writing, "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU." On Wednesday, June 28, Oseary posted an update on Instagram saying that the Grammy-winning singer's health is "improving" and is expecting to make a full recovery. However, she is under medical supervision, and all her work commitments will be kept on hold. Her Celebration Tour, originally slated to start on July 15 in Vancouver, British Columbia, has also been rescheduled.
