AUSTIN, TEXAS: Conor McGregor is one of the richest athletes in the world in addition to being one of the greatest stars the UFC has ever seen. Even his peers and competitors would be jealous of him and his possessions given his fortune.
UFC fighter Dustin Poirier previously confessed to Joe Rogan that the Irishman's $3.6 million asset made him jealous. According to Rogan, a person would need to have at least $100,000,000 in their bank account in order to acquire such expensive assets comfortably.
'I want a f**king yacht'
Poirier made an appearance on the 'Joe Rogan Experience'. It had just ended with the boxer from Louisiana defeating the Irish celebrity in commanding fashion.
The 'El Diamante' admitted during the show that McGregor's $3.6 million Lamborghini Yacht was the source of his envy.
“That’s baller man. I was mad, I’m like damn I want a f**king yacht,” Poirier said, to which Rogan replied, “You do but you don’t. You need to have so much more money than the yacht costs to enjoy the yacht. Let’s say you got a $20 million yacht.”
He added, “For you to not be sweating that yacht. You better have a $100 million. You go how much does it cost to gas up? How much does the pilot cost? How much does the captain? What am I doing for repairs?”
Rogan correctly noted that maintaining such an expensive item would cost a lot of money.
But McGregor has a strong enough financial foundation to be able to purchase and maintain a Lamborghini Yacht. He must have been really happy when he purchased his yacht.
McGregor’s ‘Proper Twelve’
According to Forbes, McGregor is one of the highest-paid and richest athletes in the world. So, for him, purchasing a Lamborghini Yatch was of no great significance. After buying the expensive asset, he couldn't contain his joy and posted about it on social media.
“I am honored to secure the Number 12 edition of just 63 to be made. 1963 being the year Lamborghini first began, and 12 being, well you know Twelve!” McGregor stated.
According to Yacht Bible, McGregor stated in an Instagram post that the yacht was one of only 63 examples worldwide and was the number 12 edition. The boat has a unique relationship to his Irish Whiskey company because it is called "Proper Twelve".
