LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kate Beckinsale shared her new tattoo which is in honor of her late cat Clive. The star posted on Friday, August 18, and made her love for her pet public.

What is the story behind Kate Beckinsale's new tattoo? '
Dr Woo is a Los Angeles-based tattoo artist who goes by the name Docta Who. He specializes in detailed animal designs.
‘The Underworld’ actress also shared pictures of her cute cat, and Woo using a pencil drawing of Clive to manifest as a real tattoo.
The 50-year-old shared the news of her cat’s death in June in an emotional post. "Clive has died. I don't have it in me to make a montage or even look at pictures of him yet,” she wrote.
Beckinsale told her fans that she’s not in a state to respond to people and usual social affairs. “Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it. If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit and I'm sorry. My heart is absolutely and totally broken."
On Tuesday, August 12, Beckinsale paid tribute to Clive one more time by posting another photo of him. The image also had a wooden memorial plaque that read the words, "Clive, a very distinguished gentleman."
Her Instagram update had multiple images, including a photo of a woman who seemed to be the actress’ mother, Judy Loe, going through medical scans at the hospital, as per People.
Is Kate Beckinsale's mother Judy OK?
"Embrace joy. Accept grief. Wear feathers. Sing. Do what makes you feel happy even for a moment. Pair grief and sickness and fear with as much life and laughter and celebration as you possibly can. It doesn’t mean you are having some sort of crisis. It means you are choosing life, fiercely," she advised her followers.
Beckinsale also mentioned that one shouldn't hold back feelings when feeling low. "Read. Stay in bed and cry when it’s from all sides and feels like an avalanche," she wrote.
The actress has shared several posts when Clive was healthy in her social media posts, sharing light moments and silly antics. Back in 2019, Beckinsale told fans that Clive had survived cancer, although he was ‘quite old.'
“We got him when my daughter [Lily Sheen, now 24] was little. And he usually is shaved into an odd shape, but he’s a recent cancer survivor. So, he will have all his old fur,” she explained.
