LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tori Spelling has raised some eyebrows with her recent choice of accommodation. 'The Beverly Hills, 90210' alum was seen at an RV campground in Ventura County, California, with her five children, sparking speculation that she had moved there after evacuating her mould-infected home.
However, sources close to the actress have told Us Weekly that there are different reasons behind Spelling living in the RV with her children, one among them is that she is having a vacation.
What is the real reason behind Tori Spelling living in an RV?
One source told the media outlet that Spelling is “trying to have a summer vacation with her kids on a budget that works for her”. The source added that Spelling knows she’s going to get attention with her “downgraded glamour vacation”, but it’s also “realistically all she can afford at the moment”. One more source told the publication that Spelling is looking for “peace of mind” for herself and her children and that she "merely" wants to get away from the Los Angeles scene for the summer. “She’s doing it on a realistic budget that works for her right now.”
The source also revealed that Spelling has been dealing with “financial difficulties” for a long time and that she and her husband Dean McDermott have not been “financially conscious” with their money over the years. The source said, the couple often "spend money like they’ll never run out of it. The source claimed that Spelling believes she should inherit some of her late father Aaron Spelling’s fortune, which has caused “friction” between her and her mother Candy Spelling.
The Mould problem and a $100 per night motel
Spelling’s RV vacation comes amid other challenges for the actress, such as the mould problem in her home, which she said has been “slowly killing” her and her kids for three years as reported by Page Six. She then stayed in a $ 100-a-night motel in Los Angeles before moving out to live in an RV. She also had to deal with a brief separation announcement from McDermott, which he later deleted. A third source told Us Weekly in June that Spelling and McDermott are not getting a divorce, and that they love each other and are working on their marriage through couple’s counselling.
Candy Spelling, meanwhile, told TMZ on July 7 that she loves and supports her daughter, and that she would help her financially if needed. She also said that she did not know about any divorce plans between Spelling and McDermott. Spelling and McDermott have been married since 2006, and share five children: Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6. McDermott also has a son Jack, 24, from his previous marriage to Mary Jo Eustace.
