LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: While comedy films can win big by making audiences clutch their sides, they must also have an interesting plot that ties the viewers to their seats and keep them interested in what's to come. 'The Out-Laws' seems to be promising the same with its star-studded cast and the trailer that revealed its rather unpredictable plot.
The title of the film is a clever play on what the focus of the movie is going to be: the in-laws! The film stars and is produced by comedian Adam DeVine, who was joined in its production by Adam Sandler. While following the common concept of comedy films with a strange incident inciting a whole lot of chaos, the plot is still fresh and brings a diverse set of well-known stars together in a family drama.
What is the plot of 'The Out-Laws'?
The plot follows Owen Browning (played by DeVine), who is a manager of a bank and is close to getting married to his fiancee Parker McDermott (Nina Dobrev). They both face the disapproval of Parker's parents, the McDermotts, while Owen ends up facing a major robbery at his bank that he was supposed to be responsible for.
The twist is that Owen suspects that the McDermotts are behind the robbery to attack Owen's career; and while it might be a wild assumption to make, he turns out to be right! The already chaotic situation worsens with the kidnapping of Parker which leads to Owen becoming one with the McDermotts to rob another bank.
