Britney further said, "I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!!"
She added, "If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!! But that’s when I needed family the most !!! You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!!"
Spears concluded the post writing how she will be "as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty damn good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!"
What are fans saying about Britney Spears' statement?
Fans flooded Britney's comments section with messages of support for the singer.
One fan commented, "Good for her!! People talking s**t about her dancing videos…. It’s all she was allowed to do for so long. Also, dancing is therapeutic for her. It’s weird that people think it’s so alarming and she’s crazy because she posts videos of herself dancing. She’s a dancer.. it’s what she does.. she’s been a dancer since she was a kid!"
Another concerned fan wrote, "Poor thing, I really hope she never hurts her self because a lot of people with that kind of fame, in that kind of pain, usually do."
"Thank you for the honesty. But really you don't owe anyone an explanation. You're only human and allowed to have feeling. I am very proud of you," wrote a third.
A fourth added, "Don't stop being you baby! I love the fact that you're honest w your emotions. And sharing is part of the healing process. We love you & support you. You will get through this & better things are just around the bend! God's GOT YOU!!"
Someone else quipped, "That's sad that she even feels like she has to explain herself. I pray for her healing. This poor woman has been through enough. Leave her alone."
