LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jim Gaffigan appeared on ‘The View’ to promote his latest comedy special, ‘Dark Pale' on Tuesday, July 25. To have a comedian on the show, equaled to the co-hosts dealing with the repercussions of it, including getting roasted by him. One of the targets of Gaffigan’s unfiltered sense of humor was none other than Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Griffin prides herself on her outfits, which is evident from her Instagram posts and stories, where the focus remains on the outfit. On the segment with Gaffigan, Griffin wore an experimental piece where she embraced her ‘chic pajamas era,’ and Gaffigan did not miss the golden opportunity.
What did Griffin wear?
Recently, when Greta Gerwig appeared on ‘The View,’ Griffin wore a pink outfit that channeled her inner Barbie. Prior to that, Griffin also faced an awkward wardrobe malfunction that turned out to be a personal choice and was adored by the fans, because who doesn’t love a cold shoulder look? On Tuesday, as Gaffigan took the stage with the ladies, Griffin wore a silky pajama top and bottom, both in a velvety green color. Griffin also took to Instagram on the same day and posted a short video on her story in the outfit, titled, “Embracing my chic pajamas era.” Followed by that, was another boomerang of her posing with the same outfit. Safe to say, Griffin adored that look on her, but Gaffigan had something to say about it.
‘She’s wearing her pajamas’
After Tuesday’s segment with stand-up comedian Gaffigan aired, Griffin took to Instagram with a clip of their interaction and captioned it, “Got roasted today by one of my favorite comedians of all time, the great @jimgaffigan. Bucket list?"
In the segment, Gaffigan entered the set of ‘The View,’ welcomed with a round of applause as he took a seat between Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar. Gaffigan said, “It is so great to be here, and I’m just thrilled that Alyssa wore her pajamas.” Before Gaffigan even sat down comfortably, he earned a burst of hearty laughter from the audience and co-hosts, Griffin included.
Gaffigan continued, “I’m overdressed for July…she’s wearing her pajamas,” he emphasized again, pointing at Griffin. Behar, who sat next to him, touched his sweater and pointed out, “You’re wearing a sweater, this is ridiculous.” Gaffigan quickly responded, “I’m wearing a lot of layers here, it’s 90 degrees out, I’m dressed like it's February.” In pure Gaffigan fashion, he made sure he roasted Griffin and himself, all in one breath.
