CAIRO, GEORGIA: The 'Welcome to Plathville' family appear to be Christian Fundamentalists. The Plath family follows the Bible very keenly. Fundamentalist Christians are considered to be Protestants or Baptists.
The Plaths seem to be Baptists. The children grew up attending small home churches as Kim and Barry had doubts about how bigger churches function.
The parents also perform in the Southern Gospel band along with the children. Moreover, while growing up, the children were strictly kept away from the temptations of life.
The Plath family's beliefs were considered very similar to that of the Duggar family. Kim and Barry have also been linked to the No Greater Joy Ministries.
