BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Tristan Tate, once a kickboxer who has now transitioned into an influencer, has garnered both fame and notoriety for his frequent rants on the social media platform Twitter. Recently, he sparked a new controversy with a tweet targeting Dylan Mulvaney, an American trans influencer. In his tweet, Tate resorted to criticizing her appearance and questioned her efforts to present herself as a woman. This derogatory and insensitive remark immediately drew widespread attention and backlash from the online community.
Moreover, Tate's controversial stance on social issues, particularly concerning the LGBT community, has not gone unnoticed by his audience. He has often been observed openly expressing disapproval for individuals associated with the LGBT community, regularly throwing shade their way. Consequently, this attitude has led to a significant number of people viewing him as a non-supporter of LGBT rights and values. Due to the inherently problematic and provocative nature of his rants, Tate's online presence has become controversial, with each new post potentially stoking the flames of online debates and discussions.
'This man doesn’t actually look like this right?'
In a recent act that fueled controversy, Tate not only shared a picture of Mulvaney but also urged everyone to come together and acknowledge the disparity between the man's real appearance and his online persona, insinuating that the two are significantly different. Tate emphasized that such opinions are not commonly voiced, implying that there is an unspoken recognition of this issue. However, he boldly highlighted that the use of filters on Instagram is not exclusive to this man alone, as he directed attention toward girls who also employ similar filters, emphasizing that their online images do not accurately represent their true selves. Encouraging his audience to participate, Tate prompted them to tag those who make use of Instagram filters.
Tate wrote, "This is a public service announcement. We can all agree this man doesn’t actually look like this right? I know we don’t say it often enough, but girls, you use the same filters and you don’t look like your Instagram photos either. Tag those who need to hear this."
'Looks like a sucked up alien'
In the wake of Tate's provocative statement, numerous individuals took to social media to voice their own opinions and reactions. One user wrote, "He is still just a confused dude with a wig and no filter can change that fact." Another user wrote, "It's outrageous the amount of catfishing that goes on. Old photos, makeup, lighting, angles to hide big nose, extending neck to hide double chin, a cheeky smirk to hide rotten teeth (happened to me once). All trust gone." A user stated, "Tired of feminine appropriation." A user commented, "Looks like a sucked up alien that crash landed into a costume store."
