MANCHESTER, VERMONT: Treat Williams' family, as well as the entertainment community, are still in mourning over his sudden death. The 71-year-old actor died in a motorbike accident on June 12. His wife, Pamela Van Sant, recently commemorated their 35th wedding anniversary in her first post since his death.
Williams was hit by a car while operating his motorcycle close to his house in Vermont on Route 30, according to Fire Chief Jacob Gribble, who spoke to PEOPLE. Investigators, according to Gribble, think the driver of the automobile didn't see Williams' motorcycle as it was turning and caused the collision. The actor received "critical injuries" and was flown to a hospital in Albany, New York, where doctors declared him dead. The inquiry is still being conducted, according to police.
Van Sant, 68, posted images of herself and Williams on the late 'Everwood and Hair' actor's Instagram Story on Sunday, June 25. Pam and Treat had been married since June 25, 1988. The relationship between the two remained rock solid through the years until death did part them.
