In the second episode of the last season, Jack Ryan uncovers shadowy threat and forge alliance with operative, Domingo Chavez who seeks to take revenge for the killing of his team members in one of the operations.
The second episode of ‘Jack Ryan’ Season 4 centers the mutual alliance of Chavez and Jack to eliminate the threat and learn more about it. While Chavez wanted to seek revenge for his team members, Jack wanted to restore CIA. When it is discovered that former Deputy Director, Thomas Miller is connected to the lingering threat, Jack and Chavez plans to target him to unfold the truth. At the same time, Miller is deeply rooted with a cartel as he was paying off money through operation Pluto to the operatives used by the cartel for their personal agendas. However, the intricate forces at play goes beyond Miller, resulting in his assassination after Chavez and Jack learns the truth about his involvement. It seems like the real player behind the espionage will kill anybody who comes in their way.
Domingo Chavez threatens Thomas Miller
When Jack and Chavez uncover the mole within the CIA as Thomas Miller, they devise a plan to confront him and uncover the complete truth. Unbeknownst to Miller, he becomes ensnared in a new threat from the CIA when James confronts him regarding operation Pluto. Miller is seen exchanging messages with an unidentified character introduced at the beginning of 'Jack Ryan' Season 4 Episode 1. Although the true identity of this individual remains undisclosed, it is likely that he is the mastermind behind it all. Despite his fear, Miller dials an unfamiliar number found in bank transactions, connecting him to Chao Fah, and alerts him about the actions of Chavez and Jack against their operation. Meanwhile, in a tense turn of events, Chavez, hidden in the shadows at Miller's residence, emerges and coerces him to divulge the truth to Jack. Miller, frightened and scared sends a text to John Doe, informing him of the attack on their operation by Jack and Chavez.
Did Chavez kill Thomas Miller?
During Jack and Miller’s meeting, Miller tries to explain himself to Jack, but Jack's unwavering determination and keen instincts leave Miller petrified. Later, when Miller returns home, he is confronted by John Doe who intends to kill him by forcingly feeding him pills. It becomes clear that Miller posed a threat to the cartel and needed to be eliminated. Chavez arrives at Miller's house intending to exact revenge, only to discover dead Miller. Soon after, Jack and James arrive, and Chavez reveals that he is now the target of the cartel's full force.
With Miller's murder, Chavez's life hangs in balance as the cartel will stop at nothing to eliminate both him and Jack, preventing them from thwarting the cartel's operation. While Jack and Chavez's initial alliance may have failed, the remaining four episodes promise to unveil the answers that eager fans have been anxiously awaiting.
