NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ Dylan Dreyer recently went missing again from the NBC show after returning for one day following her recent emotional goodbye to family.
Dreyer was reportedly absent on Monday (August 28) as she spent her time with family, however, she returned on Tuesday (August 29) for her duties.
Apparently, she was nowhere to be found once again from the ‘3rd Hour’ segment and the reason is not yet revealed by her or her co-hosts.
Meanwhile, before her absence, Dreyer slammed Al Roker for shading his husband, Brian Fichera.
Roker poked fun at Fichera’s physique adding, “You know what’s interesting, your Brain and Chloe’s Brian…very much the same physique!”
However, Dreyer didn’t take that joke lightly as she gritted her teeth and slammed papers at Roker’s face.
Where is Dylan Dreyer?
‘Today’ beloved Dylan Dreyer’s absence was noted by her co-hosts as Al Roker mentioned her while kicking off the ‘3rd Hour’ segment.
He said, “Good morning everybody. Welcome to the Third Hour of Today.”
He continued, "I'm Al, along with Craig and Sheinelle. Dylan is taking the day off.”
However, he didn’t dish out the real reason behind Dreyer’s absence and quickly continued with the topic of the hurricane happening in Florida.
Dreyer usually hosts ‘3rd Hour’ with Roker, Sheinelle Jones, and Craig Melvin.
Although the 42-year-old returned on August 29, nobody replaced her as the remaining three hosts hosted the segment.
Dylan Dreyer’s emotional goodbye to her brother
On Tuesday (August 29) Dylan Dreyer took to her Instagram to share that she was out because her brother visited her.
She posted a series of snaps captioning, “He lives in Oregon, so we don't get to see each other much, but when we do, it's like we were never apart.”
Dreyer shared her bittersweet farewell as James returned to his home in a different state.
Among the images, one captured Dreyer and James smiling while standing alongside their children. They enjoyed family activities such as fishing on a pier and going for bike rides with their kids.
Additionally, the siblings visited a church and savored meals together with their children.
She continued in the caption, “It’s heartbreaking to live so far away from my brother and his family, but we certainly know how to make up for lost time! It’s like we’ve never been apart! The goodbye sucked. Plain and simple. Lots of tears."
