LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The "very wealthy" Kim Kardashian, as labeled by Joy Behar herself, was recently discussed on 'The View' as the show's hosts talked about the SKIMS founder's rebound relationship with Pete Davidson before diving right into some of their own experiences. While Ana Navarro compared rebounds to sorbets, Joy talked about the time after her divorce, so there was something for everyone during the Hot Topic segment.
Joy, who frequently talks about her husband, Steve Janowitz, rarely opens up about her first marriage with Joseph Behar. However, in the recent Hot Topics segment of the show, she shed light on how she spent the time between her relationships with Joseph and Steve.
'I missed the whole sexual revolution'
After Alyssa Farah Griffin talked about how a rebound relationship helped her overcome a heartbreak, Navarro turned to Joy and asked, "What sorbet flavors have you had?" In this context, sorbet flavors are rebounds, as analogized by Joy earlier in the segment. Instantly, there was a collective "oh" from the audience, who appeared just as curious as the co-hosts to know about her past dating life. With a smirk, Joy said, "I remember when I got divorced, I had a couple of relationships." A shocked Sunny Hostin quickly interrupted, inquiring, "A couple?" leading to Joy justifying, as she stated, "Yeah, listen I got married so young, I had a lot to make up for. I missed the whole sexual revolution, I was married, I resent it. So I met a few guys, and they were all losers, and then I met my Stevie in less than a year, and we’ve been together for forty years."
'They're all dead'
Joy also supposed that her relationship with Steve could be considered a rebound relationship but her co-hosts were quick to help her understand that the relationships between Joseph and Steve were her rebound dates. Sara Haines labeled the rebounds "duds," following which Joy expressed, "I was very attracted to all those duds, I’d like to just say." Hostin also dished out a secret when she said that one of the "duds" once wrote a poem for Joy. Soon after, Griffin had the suggestion, as she went on to say, "I wish we could bring Joy’s ex-boyfriends on the show, just line them up." "I would be happy to, but they’re all dead, okay," Joy quickly pointed out, making it a surprising end to the candid segment.
