LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Being a public figure on social media immediately puts celebs on the receiving end of frequent criticism and hate. The most recent target of the notion is ‘The View’ host Sunny Hostin, who received ‘quick helpful observations’ on Twitter from a fan who claims to love her on ‘The View.’
All co-hosts on the talk show have received similar kind of criticism, but Hostin has decided to respond to a tweet this time around. Hostin confronts the observer about wearing a wig, as well as giving a shoutout to her Emmy-nominated stylist, Mathew.
‘Not attractive’
The Twitter user who claims to love Hostin on ‘The View’ took to the platform to leave some advice for the co-host, while also dragging in her husband in the process. The person wrote, “Sunny, I love you on the view but 2 quick helpful observations. I know your husband is younger than you but you're looking a bit too thin on camera. Also, I wish you would stop with the obvious lace front wig that's way too long and bushy and is not attractive.” After the person commented solely on Hostin’s physical appearance, her weight, and hair, Hostin decided to clap back. This is a rare occurrence for Hostin, but it might have worked since the user hasn’t responded since.
‘You are such an expert’
Hostin has responded to the offensive tweet by addressing the comment about wearing a lace front wig, while also explaining how she tames her ‘unruly hair.’ Hostin tweeted, "I don’t wear a lace front wig. Never have. Just have some unruly hair - thanks Mom and Dad - that I try to control with gel. But since you are such an expert @MarySte67687791 - maybe you can come to the show and give Matthew my Emmy-nominated hair stylist some tips.”
‘The View’ co-host wasn’t done with her response there as she added another response, this time taking a dig at the user’s profile picture on Twitter as Hostin wrote, “And while you’re at it, how about sending some pics of your hair and body for inspiration…….. Cause the animal pics aren’t helpful.”
After Hostin clapped back at the hate tweet, not once, but twice, she hasn’t spoken on the matter any further, much like the person who wrote the original tweet.
