LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ is back from its summer hiatus, and that means there is a lot of catching up to do. Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines all discussed their summers, but there were more pressing matters at hand. Over the summer break, the news about Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden intensified tenfold, and of course, the hosts had a lot to say.
While the hosts primarily sided with Biden, who has been shamed for not recognizing his own granddaughter. Navarro, who has been under Twitter spotlight also chimed in. Not only did she chime in on ‘The View’ she also decided to respond to hate tweets, which only resulted in further backlash.
‘I wasn’t whining’
A Twitter user posted a clip of ‘The View’ and said, "The View defends President Biden ignoring his 7th grandchild. "It's not [Joe's] baby." -Whoopie "It's very hard for Joe Biden to be a grandfather to the child if his son is not being a father." – Navarro. Navarro whines that "the right-wing ... has decided to weaponize Hunter..."
Clearly, this struck a chord with Navarro, and she decided to respond with a simple retweet, “I wasn’t whining. I was stating a given.” Although Navarro defended herself, this only resulted in further backlash on the internet, as people were enraged over ‘The View’ supporting Biden not acknowledging a family member.
‘Definitely insufferable’
The internet hasn’t held back when it comes to responding to Navarro’s tweet as one person wrote, “Unbelievable. He should condemn his son for this, not coddle him with dinners and retreats to Camp David. You progressives are insufferable.” Some people are convinced that Navarro is actually a Democrat and not a Republican, as she claims, as one user said, “Why do you call yourself a Republican? You're a far-left democrat.” No one seemed to be pleased with Navarro defending Biden, with one saying, “Look at you trying to defend your horrendous behavior.”
When it comes to the whining, some had a very straightforward response to Navarro’s tweet, with one writing, “No. You were whining.” And some have labeled her ‘insufferable', “Maybe not whining but definitely insufferable.” The common notion resonating among internet users in response to Navarro can be summed up with one tweet that read, “You are not a good person.” Will Navarro continue responding to the hate after this backlash?
