LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ hosts spent a part of their show discussing Erin Lichy and what she does to spice up her marriage recently. Although Lichy was only used for introducing the topic to the ‘Hot Topics’ segment, it received a range of responses from the co-hosts. The hosts expressed their views when posed the same question -- would they let their spouses flirt with others to "spice it up"?
Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin all gave their own opinions on the issue based on their experiences. However, Navarro had an interesting piece of advice that ensured that her husband never had to worry about her flirting with other men.
‘I’m not their type’
Griffin, Haines, and Hostin spoke about how they have responded or would respond to their husbands being flirted with, after which Navarro chimed in with her experience. Navarro said in relation to Lichy’s marriage, “I haven’t watched this new real housewife, but I’m suspecting that people are going to tell me that I’m stereotyping, but come on, you know it’s true. You can’t get away with this flirting stuff with a Latino man.” Behar quickly interrupted Navarro and asked, “The Latino men don’t flirt, is that what you’re saying?” Navarro answered without a pause, “No, what I’m saying is that the Latino men are very jealous, and as are the Latino women.”
After Navarro spoke about jealousy in Latino men and women, she talked about her own marriage with her husband Al Cardenas. Navarro said, “Al has nothing to worry about because all I do is go to gay events and drag shows.” Navarro earned applause from the audience for this comment. She then clarified, “I’m not their type.”
Inside Ana Navarro and Al Cardenas’ marriage
In addition to Cardenas not having to worry about Navarro flirting with other men, the couple seems to be a ‘power house’, as stated by Aventura Magazine. Despite ‘The View’ being filmed in New York, Navarro lives in Miami, Florida with Cardenas and their dog ChaCha. Navarro said, “Miami is home, for both of us, it’s such a special treat to be home and sleep in our beds and play with our dog. When we are together with our 5-pound poodle, ChaCha, it’s okay because we’re home.” Navarro also never holds back from posting little glimpses of their life on social media and sharing them with her fans.
